Sorry, maybey my original post was worded wrongly. I should have said 'known' female players outside of internet poker circles.
She was only well known to begin with because she happened to be the girlfriend of Gavin Griffin, a young up-and-coming professional in the states. She would travel to all the big tourneys with him and maybe play some of the smaller side tourneys.
Dont get me wrong she is a good player and our paths have crossed in cyberspace on many an occasion - but she has a long way to go yet before becoming one of the top female players. She probably isnt all that well known either outside of internet circles
