Arrived in Hong Kong safely, but tired as it was an overnight flight and spent most of first day sleeping.
I still have a seven inch henna tattoo of a scorpion on my arm and wife is embarassed to be seen with me, especially when i keep rolling my sleeve up! She is also embarassed by me deliberately bringing a pair of Hong Kong Phuey character socks to wear in Hong Kong.
Nearly doubled my money when cashing USA Dollars travellers cheques. As we are from England the cashier assumed that we were cashing English cheques and was giving us double the rate "Cha Ching". I saw money signs before my eyes and all ready to spend the money when wife politely pointed out to the cashier that they were giving us the wrong rate. I am talking to her again now, but the best jewellery she has got out of me so far was worth seven pounds.
Best thing for me is the Dim Sum for breakfast, lovely stuff and I then don't bother with lunch.Today we hit the shops and then off to our next stop in Perth. Hope you are all having fun and busy getting ready for the Blonde bash.

Dim Sum is Chinese food, lots of small dishes like pancakes, dumplings and rice. Hmm makes me hungry again.
As for the dig in the ribs, it was a kick on the shin and wasn't gentle!  Cheesy

Now in Perth taking a tour up the west coast. There is hot and there is 41 degrees hot and believe me that is hot. Worst part is being stuck on a coach on a long journey, but it is worth it when you get there. Yesterday arrived at Monkey Mia and we walked in the sea and the dolphins come up to shore for food.
Tomorrow we are off snorkelling in Coral Bay. A few more trips planned this week and then it's on to Melbourne. Don't know if there is much coverage of the games back home yet, but it is building up over here.
Fingers crossed for City playing in the cup tonight, but it's on at 4 am local time so will have to see what happens in the mroning.
I am not techno enough to know how to put the photos on the pc while away and haven't brought any cables but will do a couple when back.
guess you are all getting ready for the big weekend, good luck everyone.

Well after two weeks poker free, I have made it to Melbourne at the Crown casino. On a Sunday morning at 10 am they run a $60 MTT, with $1500 in chips. I am settled in at table 46, and at first play was a little slow. Then a youn Aussie girl goes all in with trip threes and was called by two pair Kings and Jacks and out he goes. A Chinese guy joins our table and what ever his hand he raises to $250. Another guy gets short and decides to raise the chinese guy assuming he was bluffing some pots, on this one he wasn't and adds more chips to the Chinese pot as he leaves the table. Another guy then gets all in happy and doubled up a few times and then halved his chips. Up to now I hadn't done a lot apart from have my blinds stolen and made a good decision to fold on one hand. I am down to $1000 and looking for a chance for action and here they come:

 thumbs up
I am left of big blind and decide to flat call, knowing that the chinese guy is bound to raise me. This he duly obliged, then mr all in goes all in. I can see nothing but my chance to triple up and go all in. The chinese guy has plenty of chips and calls. He turns over

Mr all in has

I turn over pocket aces and a few "well played" comments.
The flop

Nothing follows and I leave shaking my head.
On the plus side, I have just watched some of the Marathon and I have more time to see the sights!

Thought I would have one more try with a SNG. I was slipping a bit, but then tripled up thanks to having an ace and then two aces on the flop. A few hands later a pair of queens were to be my downfall with the chip leader having a pair of kings.  Roll Eyes
Just seen Dean Macey raise the gold and brought a small tear to my eye seeing him on the podium. Only wish i knew the words to Land of Hope & Glory.
Now off to pack, and next stop Fiji.

Bula from Fiji,
Just had a four day cruise around some Fijian islands, with an early swim for me at 6 each morning while wife slept. Loads of snorkelling and the coral and fish were superb.
We are now at the Sonaisali Island resort. It's one of their honeymoon "Bures" with a sea view and a nice touch to end the trip. Just about to go for a swim and looks fantastic here.
Sadly coming to the end of the trip and fly back on Tuesday night. On the plus side, I can get back to some poker. Hopefuly I am fuly refreshed to get back to my winning ways.
Hope everyones well and looking forward to reading all about the Blonde bash.

Back but feeling well jet lagged. Having said that have just played my first mtt since my return and won. Only 18 players and small stakes, but a win is a win.
