I have been looking around for a decent site(s) for games. In particular backgammon and RISK.
There are alot of sites, but I am not sure what are good sites and what are bad.
Can anyone recomend any sites for Backgammon or RISK please. Other games of skill would be great as well.
I am not really bothered about gambling type sites for these games. Although if there are any RISK sites where you can play for cash, that may be interesting.
Thanks

www.netgammon.com is where I play and is great for non-gambling Online Backgammon. www.gammonempire.com is where you can play for fun and for $$$, but you should avoid the latter.

Thanks raab and Nemesis. Up till now, I have been playing drunk monkeys. That is why I was looking around for a decent online site. I really like these sort of games. I will hang off playing for the $$$ for a little while yet. As I will be playing people who can actually see the board and dont need to lean against something to avoid falling over, it may be a bit harder than I am used to. Backgammon is so tricky and really skillfull. I got a book for christmas and really want to use some of the tips I have learned. After I join, we will arrange a friendly game of backgammon. Thanks.

I have already informed the RSPCA and WWF of your actions of purposefully ineabriating primates solely for the purpose of achieving victory in backgammon. You're warrant and subsequant appearance in monkey court will be forthcoming. and p.s. dont think of taking a holiday in the jungle anytime soon - at least til the heat dies down.......

While we're on the subject, do you know of any decent websites that explain the rules and basic tips/strategies because I've never played backgammon but wouldn't mind giving it a go?

due to the lack of practice in the "quickly multiplying" department its probably unnecessary for the global sterillisation project to visit my treehouse on completion - would be a shame to put it to waste However i will inform the rest of the primate nation to "get busy" as we havent got much longer left, the quicker we breed then the bigger the GSP needs to get and therefore the longer it will take to complete!!

Extra nets and rust razors are on order. The by product of the scheme has a ready market in the Middle East, quite a delicacy I understand.
