A Gilbern is a Welsh make of car. Or was.

My dad had one and now it's mine. (Although it's still in his name but I've stripped it into a thousand pieces and now he doesn't want it back, and none of us are Welsh btw).

And it was registered in 1974.

And so Gilbern74 was born.

When I first started playing on VC my ID was Ginger***** (yes, with the stars) naturally it got shortened to Ginger which I use on the majority of the sites. I think the name is pretty much self explanatory lol. Mind you, most of the red in my hair has gone now, Booooo.

Dirk Diggler is the lead character name from the film 'Boogie Nights'.  It's one of my fav films - it's soooo cheesey, cheeseey lines, acting, clothes, music etc... and I just love all that!....

For those who don't know it's a film about an ordinary boy (played by Mark Whalberg) being discovered by a porn film director and he wants to make the guy a star - he has a 'huge' talent you see.....they come up with the screen mane for him of 'Dirk Diggler'  He then goes on to be a star, and has a great time, money, girls, fame etc.........(forget about the bit when he becomes too big for his boots and a complete arse, a druggie etc!!......)

My quote at the bottom is a quote of his from the film.

Go hit Blockbusters...

for years I have been affectionality known as Lazarus, after an incident in 1996 in Amsterdam involving much drink and the other stuff, a pancake shop, a pair of black patent leather shoess and some columbians.

I cant remember exactly when but at some pont someone started calling me lazaroonie (like a combination of lazarus and shockeroonie - a particularly west of scotland expression).

so thats it.

Mine is boring!

Claw used to be my login at work (first initial and first three letters of my (then) surname).  75 is the year I was born.  I was going to use Clairep75 when I signed up to betfair (which is my usual name for forums and the like), but had to have a different nickname for playing with.  Am quite pleased about it now as having an androgynous name can be an advantage.

The Claimer--------- My mate rang me and told me he had a new job working for a claims firm, so i thought The Claimer----that'll do

Action1----------- action man derives from a toy hat from an action man figure given to me by a man in the bookies i used to work.

Awol7967----------- the 7967 was my old clock-in number at a factory i worked in for a while when i went broke in poker. When i got back on track i was off work a lot when having a good
poker session, so thats the awol. The name is always good to remind me of the crappy job i used to do for money

mexico66, after the Mk1 ford escort which i love, 66 as i had to add at least 1 no and that was that, plus it tilts US players as they hate mexicains or at least they seem to.

Platy on other sites, as a platy is a small colourful mexicain fish.( so as to give a clue to my id on blu sqr)

Most people refer to me as mex at the tables.

The kids show Pokemon actually means Pocket Monster, which in poker means......well, you know.   So i thought Pokermon would be a hilarious play on words.   Sadly someone equally unfunny had beaten me to it, two 'r's look a bit like a 'm', so even though my name is Anthony, I went for Pokerron and it stuck.   I actually answer to the name Ronnie now!

Given my form on here I am thinking of changing my id to "The Thread Killer"  Cheesy

My name was used because I own the website www dot cybertims dot com   (hehe didn't want to get in trouble for posting the link)

I also own www dot muffdivingclub dot com but reckoned that was not appropriate...   Oh and for informational purposes  MUFF is a place on the North coast of Northern Ireland which does actually have a diving club..   Cheesy.   hmmmm   might just change my name now   hehe

btw that domain name is for sale if anyone fancies it  <grin>
