Forgive me I am not from Glasgow, but spend every day there.   Is the Gorbels ( as Tank mentioned)  the same place as the Barrowlands?

Not far away Sark. The Barrowlands is only the dancehall/concert venue though, the area's the Gallowgate. The Gorbals is the other side of Glasgow Green from it.

there are a few what do you like...?

ubiquitis chip..ashton lane..eclectic scottish food, beef , game , fish..also some nice pubs nearby
rogano for fish, lobster etc so i`m told
straivaigin..excuse the spelling also nice for food.
roastit bubbly jocks for fresh food, ham, slow roast pork, sea bass etc...dumbarton road.
italians there are a few.  some very nice too many too list - if you need any let me know.


The Ubiquitis Chip is the canines bits - often frequented by BBC Scotland people - Highly recomended

if you want italian - l'ariosto - mitchell street
 mexican - pancho villas if its still there - off glassfrod st
indian - gulistan charing cross or bishopbriggs is the best one
chinese - loads
tapas - la tasca - renfield street

all visited by me and brad and lovelt places to eat. failing that pizzahut does a good buffet  tongue
