Hello all,

I have seen the threads regarding the outage problems we have suffered over the weekend and I will try to shed a little light on what is happening at the mo. I have started a new thread as it would be unfair for me to post on threads that are directed at other licensees in the room.

Please note , I am not a representative of Cryptologic and I must say that I am not a  techie guy so this will be 'parrot fashion'.

The problems at the moment are being caused by one of the many servers that Crypto use around the world , this particular server is provided by someone called Verio, or Verio.net(I cannot remember exactly) This provides a link between Curacao and London. The Verio server has been identified as a point of failure and this gateway is in the process of being replaced very soon by a much stronger setup in Ireland.

We have had problems with this company in the past and they are not very forthcoming whan problems arise and as someone pointed out this is the reason why we have several instances of disruption in a short space of time and then none for long spells as once a problem occurs it takes them too long to solve it. The move to Ireland will be very welcome indeed.

Sorry I cannot be a little more scientific but my knowledge of this area is limited.

I would be very easy for me to blame Cryptologic as this is an avenue that they have chosen to use but in truth it is a fault with a provider they are using and not their systems.

This of course does not matter too much to the players as their gameplay is affected in the same way as other techie issues that could arise and I really do feel the frustration that you all feel and I do know that Crypto have made very good progress in the stability of the site, getting rid of this disfunctioning 3rd party provider is the next step.

I will try to track down some of the Cryptologic guys over here and get a more technical response later today.

I do apologise for the disruption, I know it is very frustrating to players and licensees alike.

Thanks
