Well I'm back in wet old Nottingham. That Caesars Tourny was good, got 3rd for $688 (less 30% tax eeek) and a 4th at Plaza for $210 to end up going home with nearly the same money I went with, got to echo other posts elsewhere, Caesers are the best value for those of us on a limited budget,,,

I thought Brits were exempt from tax?

Me too. Most Casinos paid in chips but Caesars insisted on cash and all wins over $600 have to be signed for with USA resoidents completing a form which is forwarded to the IRS (with nothing witheld) and non residents getting 30% withheld. Certainly made the decision of how much to tip easier.

The cardroom guy reckoned it was straightforward for Brits to claim back. I shall soon find out Smiley

Teach me not to consider I could win more than $600 at one time Smiley and get a ITIN number before playing

This was covered on another thread a while ago...

It seems to vary by casino, but it's got to be worth contacting them before you fly out, explaining you need an ITIN set-up, and seeing how helpful they are.
