Today, when I went to the front door to get the mail. I had a pleasant surprise.

I reached down and picked up a cardboard package from my step.  It wasn't ticking and it had my name on it. Excellent, I thought to myself.. it must be fan mail.

Secretly, I was hoping it was a set of keys and an offer from Kate Moss to join her at one of her foreign retreats for the week.  Cheesy  Unfortunately it wasn't. But I did recieve a nice present nonetheless.

It turned out to be   IN THE MONEY- STRATEGIES FOR WINNING TEXAS HOLD'EM CASH GAMES   By Antonio Esfandiari.

It took several phone calls to work out who had sent it. It turned out, a familiy member had pre-ordered it before christmas for my Birthday in December. A really late Birthday present.  I thought this was a really nice thought. It was good to catch up with the family member as well, as I hadn't spoken with them for almost a year.

The book looks fairly good. As the title suggests it focusses on cash games. I have just had a flick through it so far as I kept getting interupted all day whenever I tried to look at it.  I have read the first paragraph seven times so far.

It is written in much the same style as Erick Lindgrems(sp) book about playing tournaments.

Has anyone else seen this book?   or  do you have any comments about it?

I hope it will help my ring games.  I need something after that database site on the other thread called me a FISH...

thats weird, I saw that book for the first time at the airport on saturday whilst waiting for my flight home. I decided against it in favour of London Fields, written by a recent new member of Blonde (hope you are reading this mr Amis Smiley ).
