Just found out that while I was away they have been repeating Casino Casino. If anyone missed it before and would like to see me in action in the final, it is on Friday night on Challenge TV at 01.30 ( I.E. 01.30 Saturday morning).
I know it may not appeal to Poker purists as there are only five hands of poker played, and crams a lot in an hour with Blackjack, Roulette, Craps and Poker. Having said that I loved appearing on the show and I think the ending made good telly, so if you haven't seen it give it a go and set your video up.
 thumbs up

I don't know if there are plans to make anymore, but if interested best to register on the ChallengeTV website as they emailed me via their email list for those registered on their forum. Alternatively there is are websites like beonscreen.com that sends you details of possible tv shows including games shows.

I thought I was safe from Ironside posting this as he was indisposed! Cheesy

At the first interview it was really more aimed at knowing more about you eg interests and occupation, it's like most auditions where they want an angle they can use on the show like having an unusual job.
I think what Mel is referring to is that at the second stage we had to show that we could play Blackjack and Craps etc in a mock casino, but I think it was also looking to see what sort of characters we were e.g. how we react when we have a win or loss and whether it looks good on telly.

so basically, you had to show that you could throw a pair of dice at a board? what sort of backward county inbreds were they getting that couldnt do this?

There were a few  Shocked
It was more around the betting on Craps and think that was one of my strengths in that I avoided the (in my view) stupid bets that are available with Craps.

My main aim in the final was to have a good time and I made some really large bets and just had fun. Fortunately Roulette and Craps gave me some good wins and took me from 3rd to 1st for before the poker.
It all came down to the last hand of poker and I had

After the flop I was down to a pair of Kings and praying for an ace. On the turn up pops

I then had a challenge against Martin Kemp to win the money. It was a bit like Jenga with a stack of poker chips and cards and I took home the money.
As for Ron, I never met him during filming but the controversy was on the craps table as to whether a bet should have stood or not. The adjudicator said that a bet stood whereas Ron thought it would not count until after the point had been established. I don't think it actually mattered too much in the long run, but he did have less chips at the poker table as a result.
