Hi,
I've been keeping track of my winnings/losses by using a simple spreadsheet but id like to keep a more accurate record and have been told theres some decent free tracking programs availiable online.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend any of these..

Poker Tracker's demo is free for the first 1000 hands you import into it - after that you'll have to purchase it ($55 last time I looked). Its worth its weight in gold and will pay for itself many, many times over. Basically, it uses the hand histories from your games to give you a complete database of your hands and opponents. The information is overwhelming at times but it'll give you everything you require to start plugging those leaks. It works on most of the main sites and is frequently being updated to add more. Best recommendation I can give is to download the demo from www.pokertracker.com and see how you get on with it. I'm fairly confident you'll feel the need to purchase it once you're familiar with it. agree with splash and fatman
poker tracker is very beneficial not only to poker but to seeing how much your making, or losing!
also i find it handy in finding how much rake ive donated so i see what rake im going to get at the end of the month.
If you know how to use pokertracker properly your play will get so much better
trust me its worth the $55

Just downloaded it to have a gander. I'm having trouble taking in all the info at the moment, but my gut feeling here is that an intense examination of the results will help shine some light on different parts of my game. I look forward to analysing how bad I am at poker.  |

I can't seem to get the tracker to work with Ladbrokes. Has anyone else encountered such a problem? Works fine with Party.

Quite a while the first time, i'd venture it will depend on the speed of you CPU and HDD though.

Duplicate seats and unknown action - all greek to me
I don't fully understand the timer.
What's the difference between setting it to 1 min or 5. The hands still get imported don't they.
Please excuse me - I have a very basic knowledge of computers.

The timer is how often it reads the database, you can use this so it updates in (almost) "real time" so you'll always have up to date data. http://www.pokertracker.com/patch.htmlgrab the latest patch from there as well - see if that sorts you out  |

thx for the help.
I'm pretty sure I have the latest patch.
I downloaded it onto my desktop and then installed it into the same folder that I put my poker tracker in. Is that all you have to do with patches?
