I've no idea, I'll have to weigh myself.
As I'm a man, I don't own a set of scales so will have to do it doon the gym.

Hmm - this is the kind of thing I'd like to do in principle, but don't think I'd actually be able to do it! Just out of interest, does anyone know why the difference in weight limits for men and women? I can't see why a 14 stone man can jump but not a 14 stone woman....

Something to do with body fat ratios, I believe. Ironside is right when he says it is to do with comfort.

Might have to be fully clothed then, I don't want to show those boys up.

I think since you will be traveling about 250 Miles per hour, the less blubber you have the better it will be for everyone involved. If you tandem the first thing the instructor has to do on exiting the plane is stabilize the weight, it might be for comfort but I’m sure there is a safety factor in there too.

I’m not even sure what static line is, at a guess I would say it’s like the old war films where the chute opened immediately on leaving the plane, I guess at much less altitude than skydiving

I would just like to point out to Ironside that an infant weighing one stone,
or a Posony weighing nine stones would fall at the same speed as a twenty stone Kiv.

yeah a static line opens the chute as you leave the plane so all you need to do is be able to land correctly and you do it as a solo
