Hey everyone,
I've just recently got into a bit of poker and was just wondering if anyone can give me a little bit more info. I'm intersted in playing in some live tournaments but havent a clue where to find them and i dont understand some of the lingo like freezeouts? I live in Rugby, Warwickshire and would very much like to go to an event in the next week or so, any info would be greatly appreciated!

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Hi there...firstly I've moved your post here so that more people get to see it and the chance to say

secondly rugby is J3 M6 roughly isn't it?

if you've got transport I would have though the Birmingham venues like Broadway, Gala or Grosvenor Walsall might be your best bet

I'll let a few of those who are regulars there fill you in

Freezeout means that if you lose all your chips you're out of the tournament. This is as opposed to rebuys where you can make limited or unlimited rebuys within a fixed period of time from the start of the tournament.

Hope that helps.

Cheers.

Welcome Jed.

How much you want to spend on your first Live Tourney?

Likely Venues are Luton, Walsall, Leicester, Birmingham, Notts.

Let us know your price range, & we will let you know what comps suit you, & where, & I'm sure a blonde or two will be at the venue to show you the ropes & look after you - we are everywhere!

Enjoy!
