well just back and bathed after a nights wild camping in glen etive, the most beautiful valley i know. the heiniken trick worked kev.  thumbs up It was great fun! wild weather for most of the time with plenty of dry times lol..

ive attached some photos and would encourage you to visit. only dont do what some other folk have done and leave litter and mess. the basic principle of wild camping is leave the place as if youve never been there. the shot of the tent has our salvaged wood for the fire. i dragged the huge branch a mile and the pine branch all by myself. the effort was worth it. you can see brads ikea bag with his gathered wood. the fire got off to a roaring start and went out to the embers 3 times and eventually beat us. at least it lasted some of the night.

the only question i have now is do i spark open my bottle of leffe or is it too early?

If it's cold enough, it's not too early.

nice 1 jim. better than breathing city air and as you say its free. you dont happen to know what height above sea level dartmoor is on do you? i think rannoch moor is the highest in scotland at 1200 feet. i might visit dartmoor one day and i also fancy rendlesham wood. anyone been there to camp?
