Afternoon all!

We're back and the second day of the Irish Open is about to commence... after a VERY long day yesterday, the sleepy players (and updaters) are returning and the chips are coming out of their baggies.

Get ready for another exciting day of poker featuring Stuart Fox, Mickey Wernick, Joe Grech, Rob Yong and Chili!

I just want to say GOOD LUCK to Nick and Rob. They're both on really good form right now. And Jen and Snoops, the updates have been fantastic. I don't know where you get the energy from!

Well, somehow we've got these chip counts up thanks to a chain of intrepid reporters - ending with Antesup's MIKE LACEY.  And after playing cash all night.  Oh the stamina.

I'm not sure that we mentioned this yesterday, but Paddy Power has this kind of Last-Longer going with their online qualifiers.  There were 45 (I think) and the one that lasts the longest gets a free $12,000 WSOP prize package!  Cool, no?

To be honest, there were so many black Paddy Power shirts at the start it was a little confusing - and I think there are still 10 or so...

And they're off!

Blinds 1,000/2,000 ante 100, so expect early fireworks from the shorter stacks.

Hi all.

Mick Jones (chunkymick) is in the running for this package.

Now for some piccies...

Although Kev claims that a norkologist never sleeps, he's only come up with one norkage pic.

Losing his touch?

And I kid you not, there have already been three eliminations!  One was Padraig Parkinson losing A 10 against K 4...
Rob Yong just doubled up a short stack which hit trip Tens; Mick Jones does the same (not sure about those hands though).

Feel like I should develop some kind of short hand, it's happening so fast down here...

We're down to 80 players!

Scratch that - 79, just lost Pippa Flanders, who took on a very short small blind with a big blind autocall, then made a stand with  , and got the big blind calling with  .  There was one Ace and one King on the board, but nothing else came and she joins Tim on the rail.

Is there a chance that you can ask Steve Pearce to phone Stuart Nash, when convenient.  I can't get through to him on his mobile.

Good luck to him. Tommy Dunwoodie, Mickey W. and Mel Judah.

Thanks for your help.
