I am a compulsive addictive type....when I have an interest I dedicate myself to it

Does anyone else dream about poker hands?

I have the poker bug bad....the basics are so simple but mastering it is a right bugger!

I only dream about the good hands, because I have a dream catcher

Well FFS, keep OFF the table games. PLEASE. Spend 4 hours in a tourney, then blow it on a spin of luck. Please tell me you'll stop playing blackjack & roulette.

i have learnt this the hard way i hope, but for any of you who experience simlar things, you may have 20-30 players say to you after a decent win - just leave dont blow it, take it to heart dont do what i did and just ignore them and figure hey why not put a 50 on, i got loads more they soon go!!

Don't think i'm quite hooked yet because do enjoy nights off but its tough not to think about game when i'm not playing.
I think most poker players like me have a history of gambling my vice was horses and football thank god i saw the light and found poker, like most i lost in the begginning but have made a profit the last 2 yrs and although i don't see poker as "gambling" it fills the need i never bet on football and rarely bet on the nags.
I do hope though the new breed of young players learn about managing their bankroll and not all players win fact.
It amazes me that any online players i speak to are all winners no one loses what a game this is ?.
Oh yeah and listen to Uncle Tikay DO NOT PLAY THE TABLE GAMES !!!!!.

Prolly cya in the 50re buy on Stars RedDog.

Many Regards

I learned the hard (= expensive) way too. Blackjack, roulette, horses, dogs, football, fixed odds, spreads, the whole works. Poker solved ALL those probs.

I wouild argue night & day with any friend who I thought was going down the same route. There is one crucial difference with poker - it's a zero sum game.

I've never played the tables or the nags, sports etc.  Don't touch the slots either.  Seen my Grandad and my Mum rack up huge debts on nags and slots respectively.  Casinos, bingo halls and bookies are massive profit makers and it only comes from one place.  YOUR pocket.

Only known one gambler who kept honest, detailed records.  He only did the horses and he lost approx 5k a year, every year!
