Can there be anything better? Australia at Lords on the telly whilst four tabling on a day off?

Two thoughts:

If you haven't seen it, try and see Damien Martyn's catch to get rid of Kevin Pietersen.

Ball smashed off Warne over mid wicket towards long on. Martyn sprints full pelt 30 yards to his left and dives full length catching the ball an inch off the ground, a foot inside the ropes.

Stunning, a match winning catch

Secondly six months ago I bought two tickets for yesterday for myself and my son. A sensational day's play, and my son had the time of his life.

Here comes the rant:

Everytime I go to a major sporting event I get really angry at the behaviour of the corporate guests who arrive half way through the first session, get back from lunch just before tea and then retire to the bar shortly thereafter.
I reckon some of these spectators see about a quarter of the day's play at most
Corporate guests, you are incredibly privileged to be in possession of a ticket for this event, particularly as you didn't pay for it. Real fans queued up overnight for the chance to get one of 150 final tickets. The least you can do IS WATCH THE BLOODY GAME

"Dad, why are all the seats empty now?"

Sometimes the whole culture of corporate guests preventing keen fans watching these matches makes me very cross!

Yeah I know, I'd better get used to it!

Your not getting me to post on here just to prove how popular an "off topic" section would be

ahhhhhhhhh cricket the sport of kings.

Stunning bowling performances yesterday with Stevie Harmison leading the lines pity the battin was a little off , but honourary englishman Kevin Pieterson looks like a test match winner, took an exceptional catch to take his wicket.

Hope can tumble the remaining aussie bails and put on a good batting show in the 2nd innings to snatch the 1st test

Thorpe was very shabbily treated IMO.

And would almost certainly have replaced young Bell in the next test, I reckon.
