The duck that lives by our pond has had ducklings! All look to be well, bit of shell in the nest but I think they all hatched ok. 12 ducklings and mother have been waddling round the garden happily all day. Click to see full-size image. |

Anyone roasting Duck (or goose) SAVE THE FAT. This is THE best fat to make roast tatties in, or even chips if you have enough. It's not hugely healthy - but it's absolutely delicious!!!

The ducks are very cute, but I'm more impressed by the family of about 30 white planks that also seem to be out having a stroll - their mother must be just out of shot on the right.
