A little story of mine from the other night.

Having played 5 straight hours on line on a friday night with the missus generally whinging and moaning to the side of me i busted out of a tournament in 11th place and decided to take the missus out to save our relationship.

The hand i busted out on was rather nasty when from the big bling i flopped top two pair and a K high flush draw, i bet the pot and got called by the only player left in, the turn brings my flush and i check hoping for a steal raise on the scare card which duly arrives. I get cocky and flat call, the river brings another suited card and i check expecting the usual desperation all in which duly arrives, i call and he shows the A high flush with a rag as his kicker. GRRRRRRRR.

I get quite drunk with the missus and we have great time but i spend my whole time thinking about that stupid flat call on the turn. Later on at home whilst indulging in the post pub fumble i stop mid flow and request that she remind me to raise when i have set up a check raise opportunity. This has not gone down well at all and i have been informed it's 'the poker or me'.

Pretty straight forward option really (she's a lovely girl but seriously).  How can i keep them both? Any ideas?

thanks

I'm more interested in the "post pub fumble".......

I tried it with the cats, but it ended in tears.

She knows how to play, she came third in a betfair promotional live tourney (200) and i thought that would do the trick but she says it's 'boring', i ask you....

I reckon i just need to win a huge tourney and give her some cash for shopping and she'll change her tune. That idea keeps me playing, see what i did there

(top pair and a flush draw or something like that 300+ hands a day and it's just a blur)

She's clearly analyzed the problem and criticised you.

Solution:

1: Buy her PokerTracker.

2: She can then analyze and criticise you all she wants (Helps you both)

3: Whilst she's engrossed you can play uninterupted online!  Grin
