Mr Colcliough just been on the 'phone from Vienna. He tells me that Richard Gryko has won the award for "Best All-Round Player", & with it a handy 5,200 Euros.

Since Saturday, Richard has made 3 finals, as follows:

Saturday, 500 Euro NLH, 2nd, 10,700 Euros.

Monday, 500 Euro PLH, 9th, 1,550 Euros

Tuesday, 1,000 Euro NLH, 7th, 3,480 Euros.

So that's nearly 21,000 Euros in 4 days, & there's still the biggie to come.

Richard is a tremendous chip-getter, but his "foot to the floor" non-stop aggression often results in near misses.

Congats from all at blonde to Richard - well done!

And as a bonus, those 3 results give him a hefty dollop of points - 1,950 by my reckoning - iin the WilliamHillPoker.com European Rankings, as published on PokerinEurope.com.

Intertops (see link on our news page under "Vienna Betting") have Richard priced at a hefty 101/1 to win the Main Event in Vienna, & 21/1 to finish in the top three. Valoooooo!

You will be able to follow Richard's progress in the Main Event on blondepoker's Live Updates.

Guys and Gals,

Just one thing missing from the above testimonies......

....Richard Gryko is also a jolly nice bloke too!

He kept me on a knife edge til 4.30 am with his play in Saturdays NLHE but it was entertaining and good natured stuff all the way.

And the amazing thing was, I started the tourney in the seat next to him....so I suppose I nearly won 10 grand!!!  NOT!!!  Smiley
