All the best Smithy to you and the misses.

Don't worry first one - might only be 14 days late.

Hope all goes well, might as well have a few hands you won't be able to for much longer  Cheesy

No mate i don't know, i guess i wrote it like that because we are expecting a boy in 2 months so must have been in my head, although if it is a boy i can claim to be physic too
lol.

Just a thought, everyone of my kids were 3 days late... you might want to find something to do!

well I have figured that I won't be on the computer much in the coming weeks as I want to be a hands on dad, and wanna get involved as much as I can. My dad was the complete opposite when I was a kid and I saw how hard my mum worked with no help (also did 2 part time jobs). I never want my missus to have to do that.

So I have decided that the day it is born I will have a poker marathon lol. I will come home for the evening as she will be staying in for at least 1 night with the baby and as long as everything is ok (touch wood) I will be coming home as the local hospital wont let you stay over.

On a side note my local hospital have a new ward built for child birth, and they have built rooms with tv's and ensuite showers for fathers and family. These can only be used if the mother or baby isn't in 100% health - but I think its a good thing the NHS have done there. I always criticize them but everyone at the hospital that we have seen during the pregnancy has been brilliant.

I remember how frustrating it is after that due date passes, but once the baby has arrived, believe me, the time will fly!

Best of luck - my friend's wife is due today too Smiley

Enjoy these last moments of being a couple, as things will never be the same again!! Lots of pampering are the order of the day (for Mrs Smithy that is!!)

My first 2 were both 17 days late, so you could have a bit of a wait yet lol.

This is going to be a bit TMI-y for you men, but Mrs Smithy will understand!

Due dates are worked out on a 28 day cycle, so if her cycle is say 32 days then just add 4 days to the due date for a more realistic idea!  lol

And like I said before if you get desperate get her to start slugging on the Raspberry Leaf Tea.

P.S.  A sign of things being due to start is constipation!  lol   ok ok I know, TMI!

Yep if it's a boy & he's born today you've got to call him Luke or Han.... suppose you could call him Chewbacca - but I doubt the wife would agree.
