Nobody has heard from Mikky since he returned from the EPT in Deauville. The speculation as to his whereabouts can now end, I can reveal that I have just had a letter from MikkyT addressed to the Cincinnati Club. He asked me to post it up on this forum.

The letter was written on Her Majesty's stationary, and mailed with a first class stamp.

Dear Thomas,

Its been a while since I've spoken to you or any of the others at the club. I do hope you are still working there and that this letter gets to you. I had tried calling your mobile but it's turned off so I wasn't sure if you had the same number or if you are catching up on sleep like the night owl you are  Wink

How are things? What have I been missing out on at the club and at blonde? As you've probably guessed from this letter I'm in jail, and have been since the 14th February, just after I got back from France in fact. I was caught driving whilst disqualified which f**cked up my probation order from last year so i was given a combination of sentences that total 9 months in jail. I'll serve 4 and a half months which means I get out of here on 30th June this year.

Under the circumstances, it was probably still a light sentence, although I only had a few days left to serve on the driving ban!

Over the last year I've grown to regard you and Billy and the guys at the club and on Blonde as friends. Good friends are hard to come by these days so I hope you can appreciate why I've been apprehensive in writing to let people know I'm in jail.

I don't know if anyone's been worried about me, if they have I'm sorry I haven't let you know I was ok sooner. I know I can be an immature p***k at times, that's maybe the sort of thing I'm guilt of when I feel comfortable with people. People who I consider to be good friends. I extend this to the folk at blondepoker.com too.

Other than my family, I've had no contact with anyone outside and I don't really know why I've been putting it off, other than the shame of it. What's the saying? "Pride goeth before the fall" I think it comes after it too. But pride aside, it's getting lonely in here and the jail life is starting to get me down.

It would be nice and sincerely appreciated if I could hear from some old friends and some good friends. Especially the boys at Cincinnati Club, the Cincinnati Kids Smiley

If you would be so kind perhaps you could post this up on blondepoker.com? I don't want sympathy, just some contact with old friends. Use some of this letter if you would like. (Hope Mikky doesn't mind, I've just used it all)

Please pas on my regards to the Cincin boys, I hope you are still winning tournaments and that the others are cleaning up at the cash games!

I watched with interest the partypoker.com European open where DC took was it 1st or 2nd prize? So congrats and also commiserations to Tony Chessa who was beaten by Sweden in the latest channel 5 offering. Some of the guys in the jail don't believe that I know these people. I guess I'm priviledged to have known them, just as I'm priviledged to have known eveyone at Cincins and on Blonde.
At least my poker skills are being put to good use in the nick. I'm not out of tobacco thats for sure!

Please pass on this address to write to, to anyone who wishes to write, and could you let me know that you've recieved this letter? Thanks very much.

Best Regards

Your friend

Mikky T

P.S. Keep winning +EV  thumbs up

I was worried what the hell happened to him, now it all makes sense.
I'm glad to hear he'll be oot soon.

For those wishing to contact Mikky, after talking with a mod, thought it best not to post the address on the board in case random nutters send him nasty s***.
I'll be happy to pass it on to anyone via pm who would like to write. It sounds like he'd really appreciate the odd letter.

Alternatively, I'll be passing on the contents of this thread to Mikky so you could post whatever you'd like to say here.

Tell him to keep the head up!

People react to Jail in a funny way (err so I heard  Cheesy)  4 and a half months is a stint away from the family but am sure he'll have put it to good use, main thing is he keeps himself cleanw hile inside and gets out ASAP.

If' he's in BAR and wants a visit I don't mind going up as its just aorund the corner from me!

Having known one or two people who have been "on holiday" I wish Mikky all the best.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

loss of liberty is a terrible thiing. while im not condoning what micky did, there are rapists and child molesters roaming the streets that have done less time. it makes no sense to me and i think the criminal justice system is shocking.jail for driving offences for gods sake when the prisons are overcrowded with violent criminals.

hope micky keeps his chin up and finds a way to pass time comfortably

Aye, he's in Barlinnie.

I say he'll be oot soon, but 7 weeks must be a long time in the nick.
I'm sure he would appreciate any letters/naked photographs he can swap for cigarettes. (I'm sure he's lost all his fags and has a bad beat story to tell by now)

Crikey shocking news, I wondered what had happened to him and also his wife.
He must be wishing if only he could turn back the clock and not get in the car. Sounds like Mikky has made a few mistakes along the way and let's hope this was his last one. Good luck Mikky.

Most of us have done stupid things from time to time. The difference is getting caught. We Railed Mikky in the Deauville EPT, after that horror journey, & I just hope he's back with us soon.
