Rob Yong just moved his 5.7k all-in with A-2.

Mateyboy on the button didn't realise there'd been action already and announced 'raise' with his K-9.

Ruling!

He has to raise the minimum, which he does.

Sweaty palms time then... but the blinds have rags and quickly muck.

Unaware of what's going on, Rob wonders why on earth a K-9 holding has called, but he soon realises and apologises.

Anyhow, A-2 v K-9.

King on flop, Ace on river.

Rob doubles up in strange circumstances.

Simon Trumper is fuming (in a 'Bah, I'm getting some bad luck today' kind of way) after his A-A hit a third ace on the flop, thereby scaring away his opponent's Q-Q holding. A potentially huge pot, turns into a tiny one.

Due to a lack of chairs, Bambos was forced to stand for the first 15 minutes of today's comp. It's disgraceful if you ask me.

Have they not chip raced the green ones yet?

EDIT - Just re-read the first 15 minutes.

Here's Mike Lacey, undaunted by previous setbacks, and playing a short stack with finesse.  And a pint.

The Nun is OUT.

9-9 v Yongsta's J-9.

Jack first card.

Less cheerful at the moment is Tom Crawford Clark, who was just Hewstoned in the following manner -

Texas raised, and Tom made a small re-raise (maybe even the minimum) - Martyn Cavanagh said he got the Big Pair Alarm (although we know what hindsight makes us all), but Johnny made a big re-re-raise and got Tom all-in with his .  Tom had

But the undercards made a house by the turn, sending the youngster to the rail.

Spotlight: Trumper <heavy sigh> Not the Aces again... I just have to hope that my opponent has an underpair which doesn't hit and no scare cards fall.

John Hewston is caked up to the max.

He raised to 1,500 with 5-6 suited.

Mateyboy reraised another 3k.

John, suspecting MB was making a move, announced all-in.

MB wasn't really making much of a move, as John found out when he called with pocket cowboys.

Flop = 5-6-5

Nice, although MB didn't think so.

With 45 players remaining they've broken the blondeite-heavy table featured here - moving Tikay (13,600), Dave McGeachie (55,000) and RED-DOG (22,000) their separate ways -

Chipped up Welshman Martyn Cavanagh here - he's been remarkably helpful to us tonight with the recounting of the dramas of his table in all their gory detail.
