Good work folks. Jen and Snoops, how many miles do you think you both walk each day at the WSOP? I think one of you should try an experiment and wear a pedometer. Walking between tables for hours must be good exercise

Then there's the bending and stretching - around the cocktail waitresses, under/over the ropes, behind the TV equipment, away from the spectators as they push to the front of queues. It's an all-over body workout.

Norseman Anders Berg doubles up his RHS neighbour, with
against
(probably just what he didn't want to see the shorter stack turn over).
Board:
and at the 11th hour (well, 12th actually) he drops to 13,200.

Other counts from the last 3-miler (less, actually, now there are only 930 players remaining):
Padraig Parkinson 28,000
Ingemar Backman 5,300
Chris Ferguson 18,300
Paul Garnham 18,000
Phil Ivey 15,000
Kevin Daly 38,525
Simon Hennessey 39,000
No obvious sign of* Michael Greco, Vanessa Rousso, Davood Mermand, Mel Judah, Dave Ulliott, David Singer, Howard Lederer, Evelyn Ng.
*Could easily have escaped my blurry eyes, however. Listed players, if you're secret blondeites, and still in, please refrain from wrathfulness.

As a late-night aside - this nice chap played the MadYank heads up through the wee hours of last night/this morning, beating him 8 times (or similar) and winning the bounty of no fewer than three Gutshot hats. Which he wears at once.

A pensive Anders Berg - doesn't look the type to tilt off his stack once some of it goes, however.

And a final competition for you all, before I run for the taxi, seeing as chip counts won't be distributed until noon tomorrow - Spot the Chris Ferguson. Sure, you think it's easy now, but you just got up...

Uh-oh, I hear a voice on loudspeaker talking about "the bagging process" - I'm out of here!
See you tomorrow.

Good morning poker fans
After an exceedingly quiet first half of the day, things picked up for me in the second bit and I somehow find myself going into Day 2 with 53,425 chips. Finally managed to get paid off with AA. Milked a woman who had TT when I had QQ on an all-rag board. Called a raise with J9, represented on a JJ2 board, checked the turn to feign weakness, then he check-called my river bet, even saying 'there's no way you have the best hand' before he did. Nicked a bit.
Totally tilted a really grumpy guy when I raised with A5, he called with AK, then check-raised me all-in when the flop came A47. I was kind of pot committed so called. Turn 4. River 4 - split pot. He was not a happy bunny.
All in all a very good day. And all after I thought I would spend all day feeling ill with a chest infection - it's not really hit properly yet, I'm just a bit tight across the chest. Like many of the promo girls working here. Bodog must be so annoyed that the promo girls they hired all turned up looking like hookers...
Don't know why they even let spectators in - the buggers can't see anything and just get in the way. There were about 50 announcements made to them not to take flash photography. Funniest moment came when a woman took a flash photo, a floorman wandered over and made an announcement about not doing so, and, as he did, another woman took a flash photo of him telling her not to take a flash photo.
Devilfish is still in - 'Organised chaos - fucking joke' were his succinct comments on the bagging up procedure. He'd earlier had to deal with a drunk spectator who wandered over to have a little chat with him whilst he was playing.
We all had to move to our new table at the end - don't recognise any faces and I think there's only one guy with more chips than me (77,000) and he's directly opposite me, so I should be able to avoid big clashes.
Am now waiting for my prime rib sandwich from room service then to bed.
