Scouring the room briefly, I managed to spot a few potential confrontations.

Bengt Sonnert & Simon Nowab
Andy Black & John Gale
Mickey Wernick, Kenna James & Joe Hachem
Paul Parker, Simon Young, Noah Boeken & Mark Teltscher

And how about this for a table?...

David Pomroy, Gus Hansen & Marcel Luske

A couple of blondeites for you...

First, a rather devilish Simon 'SuffolkPunch' Young, and below him a somewhat fatigued Simon Zach. God knows how he'll look if it makes the final day.

And let's throw another couple into the melting pot...

Mickey 'The Worm' Wernick and David 'dpommo' Pomroy, both on potentially explosive tables.

Passed Willie Tann's table as a showdown was reached between him and a young French player (probably, going on accent alone) - The board was Q x x 9 8 and Willie flipped the for the nuts, while I think he was up against two pair.  I think there was some trapping going on which the youngster escaped, saying, "You're tricky - checking the straight..." to which he got a trademark Tann shrug in return.

Hello Snoops and Jen!

G'morning Flushy...yes, will give Paul your regards - after I go and find cake.  No breakfast as yet.  Just some very small, very potent coffees left in the press room...

Marcel Luske is so surprised at a play that he has to remove his trademark upside down lunettes.

dpommo is sandwiched inbetween two players who have just gone to war.

I joined the action on the River, with the board showing Two Diamonds

MB on the left had bet 2.5k, and MB#2 on the right had come over the top for an extra 5k, leaving just 250 behind.

He got the full stare down from MB#1, but I think everyone knew he was folding, as he finally did, showing an Ace in the process.

Dutch youn-gun and Marcel Luske protoge, Noah Boeaen, has just lost a smallish pot to a fellow who can only be described as A Tango Man fan. Take a look for yourself, he's as orange as... well, an orange.

Anyhow, Boaken, who looks as though he's been in a losing paintball team, raised to 175 preflop (blinds at 25/50), Tango Man and a Michael Palin lookalike called.

Boaken then bet 400 on the Two Diamonds flop, Michael Palin folded and Tango Man called.

Both checked the Turn.

River =

Tango Man bets 200, which Boaken decides is too much.

punish the pinchy
