John Shipley just made my day.
After his 3.5k bet on a Q-7-2-7-8 board was called by MB (John held A-7), I tried to make a guesstimate of John tough-to-count stack, and, amazingly, I was actually right for once.
27k... spot on.
(snoops pats himself on the head)

Just 26 left in the $1,500 No Limit Hold 'Em Freezout.
Padraig Parkinson is comfortable on 150k, Rob Hollink less so with 75k. Average is around 100.
It's been a day of wind-up and gullability (I must be tired)
First Mad Marty convinced me that he used to be a tennis coach in Austalia.
And now Padraig had me believing that a deal was offered with 26 left. Chessa laughed at me, but what's so unbelievable about that?? I offer a chop as soon as the first player is out.
I got Chessa back though. Pointing the camera in hsi direction I told him that I couldn't get a good shot.
"Why not? Is it the light?"
"No, it's cos you're in it!" I replied.
His response can't be repeated here...
