oh, and I'm sure you don't care still on your Honeymoon but gtfo Ace2m, you played a good game but ultimately came up against a stronger competitor.
i tried to look at my team last night and figure out what the **** is going on but it made no sense after 5 mins so i gave up.
Is it a head to head style then?
Yeah mate, you play someone every week and theres 2 divisions.

You can still hold out hope that the Rams kicker has a bad day and misses a few kicks. I require the same outcome in another league!
don't think kickers lose points for missing m8.

Good spot - they don't under standard scoring in this league. I was confusing it with another league in which they get -3 points for missing.
And it means I'm screwed in my tied game too

3 & 0 now as the unstoppable BH train keeps on steaming.
What a team when you can afford to leave the likes of Miles Austin, Beanie Wells and Nate Washington on the bench.
Saying aht, rather that stagnate at the top of the league I will be refreshing my team this week on the waiver wire.

I'd managed to get through 5 leagues with only 1 loss until yesterday. If I'm lucky, I might get 1 win out of Week 3.
Enjoy the moment, as it may be all too brief!!

Bit of a divisional discrepancy here, kind of like the NFC North vs the NFC West.
WeHateDallas go 3-0 and tops the Poker division, despite scoring fewer point than every team in blonde. Horneris currently living up to his on-thread bragging, unfortunately, and looks difficult to stop at the moment.

Just so everyone is aware, I'm just setting in motion a change of manager to one of the teams.
The backstory to this is that a couple of days ago, Nakor logged onto blonde for the first time in ages and found my PM from a while back when I was chasing for managers. He dropped me a line to say that he would have played had he seen it earlier and asking to be considered for next season's league.
Having read this, I then contacted ACE2M who, at the time of the draft, had basically offered to sign up for a team if I was struggling to get the required numbers to get the draft to run. He admitted at the time that he would be clueless but it'd give him a chance to learn. However, it's fair to say he was a reluctant participant. Little did I know at the time that he was also just about to get married and disappear on honeymoon, so I'm sure he's got other priorities to be worrying about!
Without wanting to appear like I was trying to turf him out, I gave ACE2M the option of letting Nakor co-manage or take over his team completely, the latter of which he confirmed he was happy to do. Nakor is therefore taking over the team, and the responsibility for the entry fee along with it.
It's fairly exceptional circumstances, and not something I'd ordinarily do, but it's fair to say that had he seen the PM earlier, we would have started the league with Nakor as a manager and ACE2M wouldn't have needed to sign up. Hope no-one minds me making a Commissioners decision to do this without reference, but it'll benefit the league in the long run.
Finally, I just want to say thanks to ACE2M for being a good sport in all this and for stepping forward when needed to get this league off the ground. Hopefully he'll have a bit more time on his hands next season to come back for the expanded league!!

Just realised I never confirmed the results of the payout vote from draft day.
Close vote, but Winner Takes All got 5 votes, 3 voted for 80/20 and 2 didn't vote, even after a bit of chasing. Given that the 80/20 could only at best tie, then we're going with
Sheriff
Winner Takes All as the payout.
My double roster league has an interesting concept for buy-ins this season. The Commish set 3 options of $0, $35, and $100. 8 went for $35 and the other 4 for $100 (one originally voted for $0 but got so much abuse he stumped up $35 in the end!). The payouts are worked out on the same basis as a side pot in poker. It's quite quirky but it might be worth considering for next season's league as some people wanted a higher buy-in than $20 but it's tough to attract newcomers to play if the buy-in is too high.

We are coming up to bye weeks
What is the usual plan with specialists (where you mostly don't have an option in your roster to substitute in)? Your kicker/defense hits a bye, you sub him out for one of the many kickers/defenses on the waiver wire?
Then after your original kicker or defense comes off the bye, you run the risk of another team getting him/them on waiver priority?
Or, the view is kickers/defenses are much of a muchness, don't worry about it

Horses for courses. Some people just take the hit in the bye weeks, others duck and dive in Free Agency. There's no 'right answer' as such.
It all depends on what you want to do with your bench, and whether you're comfortable dropping someone back into the pool who you might not get back.
In deeper leagues, e.g 16+ teams or expanded rosters where the Free Agent pool is limited then its more of an issue and needs a bit more planning. In a 10 team league, there are more options available.

Some good matchups this week - a few games going down to the wire.
The 100% records both look under threat leading into the last 2 games.

sigh, I've left far too many points on the bench to win.
