SUPER TYPHOON is predicted for the weekend, but fingers crossed wont be as bad as forecast.
President orders forced evacuation of people in path of Typhoon ‘Pepeng’
PRESIDENT Gloria Arroyo on Friday placed the entire country under a state of calamity, a day before Typhoon Pepeng (international codename: Parma) was expected to make landfall in Luzon, as local governments began forcibly evacuating people from areas directly in the storm’s path or prone to flooding and landslides.

Chatting to Roxanne daily and the 'super typhoon' never materialised though they are experiencing heavy winds and rain for the past few days.
Not bad enough though to stop the daily game of mah jong

Taxi,
I have to ask you a question - I'll explain why after you've replied..
Does the Alias "PILLOWMAN" mean anything to you?

Can't say it rings any bells whatsoever.

No worries Taxi. I know a player on another site who uses that Alias, he lives in the UK, & his g/f lives in......the Philippines.

Roxanne called yesterday to tell me she wasn’t able to get to work due to the heavy rain and strong winds, no company transport operating and localised flooding on the roads.
At just gone midnight I get a text from her to tell me that the house is now beginning to flood, I phone her as soon as I can and she explains the compound is waist high in water and that the mango tree has been blown down, they have no electric and the water is now in the house, ankle deep and rising as the rain continues unabated. The family have packed bags and are preparing to move to a friends house on higher ground. Not life of death situation but still not very pleasant, times like this I feel so bloody useless!!

Ugh! I'm sorry they've had to move to higher ground, but DO NOT say ^this^!!! You're doing your part by working towards a better future together and wouldn't be able to achieve the same goals from over there. I know it probably won't make you feel any better this minute, but you're not useless!
From what I've gathered, they have a great community who all work together and help out when needed. Between them, they'll get the job done. Chin up and I hope things improve for them soon. xx

100 Days
Friday 13th November 2009
Yes it is 100 days living in my car (well 97, I had 3 days in an Hotel for the blonde bash).
I very nearly ended up with a 'free' camper van!! well I think i did, but thats another story.
Life is still good and about to get so much better, as tomorrow morning I catch my flight home to see my good lady wife and her family, unfortunately having to return on December 3rd to earn more funds.
See you on my return...................
