I'm going to Macau in 12 days and will be playing the following tournaments:
25th October: $11,000 ($1mil Gte) Deepstack Championship NL
28th October: $15,000 PLO Championship
30th October: $8,800 (2mil Gte) NL
7th November: $8,800 NL
(All above amounts in are HKD so buy ins in GBP according to today's xe.com rate are £885, £1205 and 2x £707.
I will be selling 30% at a markup of 1.25 I will be playing regardless of selling or not and selling as a package only.
I have had my best ever poker year, with my first ever 6 figure month at online cash games in July. I play the odd bit of zoom PLO on stars but most of my action has come on other networks where I am playing mostly $200 through to $2k PLO though I have also played around 50,000 hands at $5k PLO this year and am up around 30 buy ins at those stakes.
My mindset is great these days and I've spent probably a total of 6/7 months in Macau within the last 2 years so not only do I know a lot of the regulars but I've played a lot of live poker and I know a lot of the regulars and the style of the Chinese so I think I'm very well placed to do well in these. I won't be staying in a hotel, I will be in an apartment with my girlfriend so will always be well rested and prepared for every event. There are a few higher buy in things that will be the focus of attention for a lot of the better players so I've made the decision to play these tournaments and play cash games whilst the higher buy in things are running rather than sell for those or satellite into those also).
I live with some very smart poker players and that's been the catalyst to improving a lot in all areas this year.
Enough of blowing my own trumpet as I'm still a big nosed twat most of the time.
One other drawback is that I haven't played a lot of live tournaments in a while but the last donkament I played this year I finished 6th and without bad beat stories should have won
Will be selling in minimum 1% chunks as I'm always happy to have lots of funkers:
1% = £43.80
5% = £219
etc
