Title: X Factor 2009
Post by: Simon Galloway on October 05, 2009, 01:27:43 PM
On this board because I am more interested in betting on it than watching it.  If it should be moved, ok. Have usually made decent money (in % terms at least) in previous years, backing 2 or 3 that will go a long way in the final (and laying off slices as they shorten) and also a small dabble on a longshot as a punt.

This year I think Lucie, Stacey and Jamie are all locks to have a decent run, altho unfortunately thats how the market sees it too.  Not such a strong feel in the longshots (I backed Ruth last time at a decent price) but am having a punt on Rikki at a mammoth price.

What strategies do people use on these TV specials?  Outright punts, locking in all green markets, laying a few short prices?

And who is going to win?

I normally trade the eliminations on the night.

Thanks to a bit of inside info I managed to get 40/1 on a woman being eliminated when Louis decided to save a stupid girl group because the sang at West Life's wedding once, or something along those lines.

I personally reckon Lucie will come through but I think they will want a non female winner this year after Leona and Alex and Simon is very good at getting what he wants.

X Factor is way tougher to play than Big Brother or the Eurovision imo.
They've shown in past series they won't just keep, say, one group in to keep that judge involved deep into the competition.
There's an element of tactical voting in the early eliminations but these are often hard to peg down in my experience.

70s on betfair.  No chance of winning, but the only way I can afford to do it in any kind of size is to lay 4 or 5 others at the same time - they can't all come in!

Ive had a bit on Olly @ 13 and Lloyd @ 22.

A friend of mine does X Factor betting for a betting firm and has said that they really don't want a female winnar this year.

They are the best group by a mile and should cruise through the first 4 or 5 weeks.

i actually didnt think i cared about this program, but them someone pointed out, why are you spending time writing about it. so the obvious answer is i hate it. I have no time for the contestants, the presenters, or the judges (apart from Cowell, who is an obv marketing genius).

Def agree with those who said that a female winner isn't exactly what the xfactor wants this year. Am sure what simon wants, simon gets, and think the females actually look pretty weak this year.

The groups look appaulling while the over 25s seem to be the category with the most promise, all 3 are capable of being winners. The boys group seems low on actual singing talent but again if simon believes one of em can make him gazillions they will be shown in the best possible way to gain votes. Read books like ben elton's chart throb on how they manipulate the public-nice punting tool in reality markets.

I think danyl at 8.0 on betfair is a great price and will be backing this with a veiw to trade. Lloyd dsnt seem able to sing at all, but is in the final 12 and obv a fave with the judges, and will most likely fight joseph for the young girlie vote. As joseph is 12s and lloyd is 27, id have to back the latter purely for value, again with a veiw to trade.

As for week 1 i've backed miss frank and rachel both for elimination and both at 12s. I dont see either act catching the publics imagination massively and am only worried that candy rain may be diskliked more, esp as ex strippers. But they dont represent value for me at 7-4.

And i like every other bloke only watch this cos of her indoors...honest!

Agree with this 100%, not that the performances always matter too much.

I think Lucy will win this but I've not had anything on as the prices I have seen lack value.

Ricky must be a decent outsider if he can secure the scottish vote and the gay vote.

I can't decide with the annoying double-take twins. They are terrible but the public will either love them or hate them.

Title: Re: X Factor 2009
Post by: Chompy on October 10, 2009, 09:45:03 PM
Interesting first elimiination angle.

If it is Kandy Rain v the twins, the voting from the panel will go 2-2.

If the twins have been voted in the bottom two, then the public hate'em, not love'em, ergo they go.

2-1 if it plays out the way the market says if probably a fair price.

Uncanny lookalike...

The 2 stand out performances were of course Danyl and Joseph but the market reflects such.

I think Olly did well and don't think he should have drifted to as big as 12s.

I thoguht Stacey was poor.

of course it is, fuck the contestants, if they want to do that sort of reality t.v then after it having been about for over 10 years now they should know the turn out, the boundaries are being pushed, the average public watching are being corrupted and conned, society is changing on such a big scale because of this sort of disposable t.v show that goes with the facebook, W.A.G.S, generation and if you want to exploit society to get your 5 Min's of fame then expect in turn to be exploited, it's a reciprocal arrangement out of with a very few people other than the elite benefit, good guide for the way the world works really, dont feel sorry for them thats for sure.

This is all just bs Mr pp. I respect that you say what you feel and are a very straight talker and i usually like your views on things but i think you've overcomplicated this one. If somebody wants their 5 mins of fame and our modern day society wants to dig all the dirt up on them then thats going to happen. The media will take care of that because that's "what the people want".
Simply this is a judge on a singing contest. Somebody that gave a great performance and the comment he got back was a hint that he might be gay. WTF??? Just doesn't fit in with the show. It's not about feeling sorry for him it's just a useless comment hence there being no need for it.

Just doesn't fit in with the show

lol come on m8, of course it fits wit the show, its a freak show, a media freak show, it has to be to maintain its popularity, it mightve been a singing contest when it was new, like pop idol etc but now its ridic, 3 times in their comments tonight one judge or another said that(this is after the first round tonight remember) that the act they were commenting on were already superstars, disgusting!!!!!! you KNOW that theyre never going to be heard from again, im not saying its not always been bollox but you used to be able to ride on the back of a good run on a reality t.v program, now even if you win it you probs wont be heard of again after a year, its such a fucking wind up now, you can tell the Judges could not give a shit, Simon gets 8 pay cheques for being a judge, owning the show, the record company, being a producer on the show etc and he's so over the top with his comments its like he cant even be botherd to con the public into believing that he gives a shit, louis walsh cant believe his luck about how much he's being paid and being on primetime t.v, that northen idiot is loving playing up to the vacuous stereotype of t.v show panel Judges that cry and spout shit, its like its her lifetime dream to be a complet fucking idiot and its all gone to danni minougue's head, get it right it is NOT a singing contest, its a format for a very Small group of people to get even wealthier at the expense of everyone else

Title: Re: X Factor 2009
Post by: Josedinho on October 11, 2009, 12:10:31 AM
So at the start it was joe public's chance to be a star and now it's a show where people make alot of money and joe public have 5 mins of fame. But what you're saying makes the comment even less appropriate for the show. Simon knows how to milk this cash cow and like you say is making ridic amounts of money from it.
The daft comments of "your a star" at week 1 are daft but they're put in to try and build compeition where it isn't and people perceive it to be a really close thing that anyone can win. A couple of years ago we could have given the contract to Leona on week 1 and we all knew it but had to go through 10 weeks of trying to pretend there was still a contest. This comment will get people talking about the show but it's hardly a wise move given that it could have offended part of its viewing audience and risk viewer numbers going down. Whether you want to view it as a money making machine or simply a singing contest i don't think the comment had any place in either.

Title: Re: X Factor 2009
Post by: bolt pp on October 11, 2009, 12:17:58 AM
i understand what you're saying but i think theres an inherent implication now with reality t.v that it will be tacky and inappropriate, you have to factor that in when you go and accept when something like this happends, reality t.v by definition doesn't have parameters.

they should be more socially aware now when saying the "already a superstar" stuff, you had that 8 year old girl crying her eyes out and the winner of Britain's got talent losing it it just shows that people cant handle the comedown and the pressure, its morally wrong for their own purpose to say that shit, but like i said its a quid pro quo situation where if you know its like that but still go on and let it affect you thus then fck them for being idiots imo.

that being said i could use paragraphs and just put this smiley at the end  ;grr; , i like my way better though.

The guy with all the hair murdered 'Get it on' and they all had a mini rave about it, eh ?

Also, the builging eyed 'are thee kind o ghey ?', I'll spell my name wrong for cool points, bloke. Why he so liked ? Puffed up, annoying, not really a singer but his facial expressions would go down well in stage shows where even from the back you could see his eyes a bulgin' and his face a grimacin'

Who was that lad who did the Timberlake number. Can't sing, won't sing - truly dreadful.

Thought Olly and Lucy were alright and Stacy ? (coldplay girl) was OK till she spoke (-9 pts for speakage, and what a wierd outfit - looked like a plumber in drag)

Danyl was awesome, I can't believe they were giving him a rub down and what Dannii was doing is just beyond belief.   Thought the kid from South Shiels was amazing two, definatley the top two of the night from me.  I quite like Miss Frank too, best of the groups.

Maybe no judges vote?...just go on the public vote?.

It appears Danyl has been upseting everyone behind the scenes, telling Kandy Rain that they have no chance of winning and driving them to tears.
That would probably explain why Dannii did what she did.
Danyl must therefore be max lay material at 4.5.
Louis seems to dislike him, Dannii has attacked him, and he just isn't likeable imo.
Agree with snitchy that Jamie Afro ain't up to much.
Simon's best chance for me then is Olly.
Therefore, I've...

Laid Danyl at 4.5
Backed Olly at 12

On actual singing talent id say danyl is diff gravy, joseph also peformed well last night but the market reflects this. Ill be keeping my bet/trade on danyl@8.0 tho as i can see him shortening quite a bit more in the next week or so. Id like to ditch my punt@26 on lloyd though as he really cannot sing at all. Hopefully he'll drop back to this mark in a couple of days, in hindsight jospeh at 12s was a spot of value, oops.

Ive laid john and edward tonight for the bottom two at around evens, at 9-4 for them to go tonight id say if i thought they would be as unpopular as the market indicates id rather back that, as if they r in the btm two its pretty much a certain early bath for them.

However, i don't think they'll be anywhere near the bottom two, with rachel, rikki, kandy rain and the vastly overrated miss frank all struggling to pick up more than a handful of votes, irish vote will save em for a few weeks id say.

Nico, I'd defo trade out of Danyl early given the chance. Think he's very risky to hold on to without greening up if you have the chance.
I've taken a chunk out of him at 4.6 and had a fair lump on Olly at 12. Like that as a starting position.

ok my views on weekends show:

Shite - Twins, Kandi Rain
Average - Rikki, Rachel, Jamie, lloyd
Good - Joe, Stacy, Olly, Miss Frank
Shit Hot - Lucy
Amazing - Danyl

Danyl should win this by a country mile!

rikki to make 3rd or 4th since he's from glasgow

I think its deliberate to be honest, they did the same with Leona Lewis. They take they away from the public eye for a while so people don't get bored with them and to make them appear in demand.

But Middys just listening to Radio1's re run from this morning with Cheryl on & i caught the end and they're saying she was miming it on Saturday.

Wondery why? hmm.

Surely that isn't great for this years contestants trying to win to see.

Oh it was obvious she was miming it, you can't dance like that and sing you'd be out if breath. In fact at the end of the clip when she talks to Dermot you can she how out of breath she is. Its all about making it look good on telly with the dancers etc which all worked well I thought.

These guys have made it, they are guesting on the show now, trying to flog a record who cares if they mime, they have done their stint at performing live.

I thought it looked like more forgotten words, or arrangement, than miming at the time. You could here the backing track of her voice and she was just repeating one line over the top randomly that sounded live. Might have to watch again though, she looked pretty hot.

Just watched the utube clip, sure it didn't look like that on tv.

Big band week next week, and theres no way that the twins will be bottom 2. Bottom 2 this week will be racheal AGAIN, and miss frank. Racheal to go cus it will go to public vote.
she isnt that bad, racheal but she just hasnt got a group that she appeals to. And we all know a third black female in three years won't be winning again.

you cant hear the singers properly not sure if they always like this

or if it just this year as there is some dross they are trying to tidy up

fame acedemy exposed there singers much more than x factor is doing

Norrrrrr, there isn't a market for bi-sexual teachers with abnormal sized tongues.

I hope he gets booted.  I think he could go out of spite.  So obvious that Louis and Cheryl don't like him.  Much of this will rest on Danni's shoulders.

i dont think he's arrogant at all. How he came out and sung to stay in with his final song, he was full of beans, not like miss frank, who missed thier words and looked frightened.
Danyl stepped up to the plate and delivered under pressure. He's just very confident in his own ability and seems pretty humble to me.

There are some real quality acts in this years X Factor

By far the best line up ever.

Unfortunately the British public is in charge of who stays and who goes, and we all know that the British Public are morons.

I have happily watched every saturday night and been entertained but I wont bother picking up the phone to vote? How many of you reading this thread actually do that?

I now think the winner will be Joe McElderry who is playing the grey man perfectly.

To win this you have to stay slightly in the background and be ready to peak at Christmas. Very much like Alexandrea did last year.

My favourite act Is Danyl but he has already become contorversial, and may have peaked to soon?

I wont be having a bet on either of them though, but sit happily on a healthy lay of Stacey who has a good voice but limited talent (does she ever move) and should fade
when the dumb blonde appeal wears off.

I also like Olly who I wish I had got on when he traded at 1around 10-1.

Agree with George here, only a few acts that I like, Olly, Lucy and Jamie is growing on me, can't sing but likeable - oh and John & Edward are pretty cool too. Still no one outstanding though and I think there have been outstanding acts previously

I just don't get men waxing lyrical about the singing style of someone like Danyl - he just aint that good and he looks like a frog on speed. He was better than Miss Frank with the ridic rapping - but that's really not saying much.

Each to their own I guess but the warbly, quivery belting out a song in Diva stlye, look ever so pleased with myyself but then say Fankyoo a lot, from the likes of Danyl just leaves me cold. Guess i'm in the majority based on the teh voting too.

lool. Disagree completly, this years line up is by far the best ive seen.

Joseph, Olly, Danyll, Lucie, and Stacey and Jamie to a certain extent, are all incred.

Disagree think the line up is quite weak actually

+1 last 2 years have been much stronger imo

Title: Re: X Factor 2009

danyl is by far and away the best singer on this years show.

i dont particularly like him or want him to win but if it was judge on pure singing talent he would win hands down.

but we all know it isnt hence why those annoying talentless tone death irish twins are still in!!!

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL OK!!!!!!

Do you have you're own brain or are you just quoting one of the judges because you do realise they say that every year?

I can think of FIVE acts from last year that are better than ALL of these contestants.

I'm afraid youve been swept up in all the hype.

Title: Re: X Factor 2009

I have completely switched my position. I've traded out of Oily and put the profit on John and Edturd.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if what was read in the Sun is correct on this occasion.
Happy to chance it at 25-1

Title: Re: X Factor 2009
Post by: Ironside on October 27, 2009, 01:42:10 PM
even if people are voting the twins at this stage still makes them very unlikey to win

look at eoughen (sp) last year when he won the vote nearly every week then was first out n final

mind you at 25-1 you should be able to make a good trade if they get to semi

25-1 a defo trade price. Can't see them leaving within the next month, after which the novelty will prob start to wear off.
Louis knew! Can't knock him for picking them.
Rachel, Danyl, Lloyd will all go before talentless and talentlesser imo.

Backed Olly at 12/1 at the beginning... hes now into 5/1... Is it Disco Week coming up? Olly will own that!, Price should definately drop more to Lay it off for a nice few pennies..

I have completely switched my position. I've traded out of Oily and put the profit on John and Edturd.

That was a nice quick trade, backed at 25, laid at 18.5. The market was slow to adjust to the currant bun story on this one.
Don't think Oily has the potential to drop much lower than his current price for the time being myself. I think he's the right price now to be trading back.

Title: Re: X Factor 2009

Agree about olly chomps, and as for j&e, i think they will only get shorter. Of crse some of us got on ew at 66s mate:)

This week should be interesting, although i think rachel should def go and would almost certainly do so if she was in the bottom two, she may still be riding the sympathy vote from last week and before. Ive dabbled at the 28s on lucie and am tempted by jamie at 12s. If i had to predict the order of voting this week id say the bottom 4 will be :

Lucie,
Jamie,
Rachel,
Danyl.

Now although im hoping danyl fans will now vote for him as he was in the bottom2  last week, im not certain he won't again struggle due to ppl not liking him. Crazy imo as he's the class of this show by a mile. But if he's up against any of the above 3 i could see him staying anyway, simon's a shoo in vote and louis would most likely fall into the cowell line. But tbh it looks a tricky one to predct and i'll just have a couple of small value bets.

I think my main bet this week will be the usual lay of j&e in the bottom 2 again, it's keeping me in beer right now!

Title: Re: X Factor 2009
Post by: Chompy on October 30, 2009, 03:34:16 PM
I will be backing Danyl to go at current prices.
I'm convinced the judges want him gone, so it could be another 2-2 verdict.
I'd defo dump off any outright bets on him. Still can't have him winning it in a million years.

Title: Re: X Factor 2009
Post by: Nico29 on October 30, 2009, 03:54:56 PM
Only 1 judges's opinion counts, the others do what they are told. Cheryl only let it go to deadlock last week im sure due to them knowing the dire miss farnk wld leave on votes cast. Danyl is the class in this group and will be there for weeks to come. Those like me who think he's the best singer might actually vote this week due to last weeks close shave.

I traded out at 8, which was obv not a good move, but still can't have him as a winner.

Danyl was awful, Rachel was awesome, as was Stacey .. Lloyd's voice is as weak as piss, but the girly vote will keep him in.

Jamie was decent enough, Olly is a bit wooden, but steady enough without being anything out of the ordinary... the twins just need putting down ffs GTFO PLEASE.

If there is any justice the twins will go, but we know they wont .... tbh Danyl should go, because he was just shite !!

Remember people who have backed people to get eliminated they have to win the final two vote aswell.

Im on Danyl at a very big price but think he can only get eliminated if against Llloyd in final 2.

If twins make bottom 2 they gone, if Rachel does she is gone so hopefully its a Lloyd vs Danyl contest and then Danyl goes and Blatch collects weeeeeeeeeeee

Danyl is an amazing performer however played the wrong card tonight.
He went for the sympathy vote and went in the huff hoping the public will vote for him, but it's just not going to happen.
If I was his mentor I would have told him to go out there, smile and take over the stage like he always has, then at the end give a big smile and a bow and basically say THATS HOW YOU FUCKING DO IT
Bounce back because that's what the UK public like to see, not someone down in the dumps because of what's been said about him.
I really hope Danyl stays because he is the best there and he has the potential to go very far as a performer if he wins.

As for the twins I think today showed what a genius Louis Walsh really is, he turned those two little twats into a show, it could have easily been a scene from a rocky horror production, with lights, flames, dancers, guitar solos. And it was such a good show it drowned out the two kids and they were basically singing along with the backing singers, people will vote for this because they enjoy seeing such entertainment.
So the attention is taken off the fact the kids can't sing, people see an awesome production and two characters they like running around.

The others got it way wrong too, the guy who did Primal Scream didn't interact with the audience or what was on stage and he would have performed the same if the dancers hadn't been there, he was acting like he had been told to do everything and was just doing it for the sake of it rather than wanting to do it.

I reckon it'll be two from Rachel, Danyl, and Jamie.  Hopefully it'll be the two guys as have them both at massive prices so will save me having to balance the book  :)

your off your chunk if you think danyl missed his words and put in a bad perofrmance on purpose.
What i found tonight...
danyl's mojo/confidence/balls gone from being in the bottom two, he looked scared, and vulnerable,
like, maybe 2 songs tonight were actually "Rock" songs, rest were indie/alternate tunes.
worst week in terms of entrtainment.
olly was the star, made it look simple, effortless and cool.
worst of the week obv was llyold and danyl.
^^ saying the above though i can only see two possible winners, olly and danyl.
lucie is a good singer but she just bores me to death, no personality, no surprises.

getting deeper in the comp, is when it starts to become a singing contest as opposed to a
popularity contest.

top 2 performances tonight for me were
olly
racheal

bottom 2

lloyd
danyl

gg lloyd

Thought Lucie was awesome (incred, has been since very first audtion), Joe good as usual, Stacey, Jamie and Danyl standard, although Danyl wasnt as into it as usual, it was still a good performance.

Really think Lloyd and J&E should be in bottom 2, usually enjoy the latter performance but today was just awful imo.

Hopefully Llyod goes though.

It's not about who "should" be in the bottom two though.  It's about the strange people who actually bother to text/ring in and vote for this nonsense.

Therefore (assuming it's not rigged) we're gonna be stuck with Lloyd and those twins for a while yet, although the market is bizarrely but brilliantly out of sync with that fact.

Pre show id backed lucie to go at 28s and rachel at 5-2. Also usual lay of j&e for btm 2 at 5-2. Was originally tempted to also back jamie to go at 11s but bottled it when i realised it was a rock week. My long term positions include danyl to win the show, j&e ew at mass odds and simon's category to win for a chunky bet. Keep meaning to bet stacey for best girl as she looks nailed on, but don't want to tie to much money up longterm and at the skinny price it would have to be a very large bet to be worth it.

Afer the show last night i realised danyl is in grave danger of going this week. Agree with trigg that he looked like he's lost his mojo, unlike olly who seems to grow in confidence each week. Tbh, if i didn't think danyl was by far the biggest talent in the show i'd have to get on him leaving at 7-1 with boylesports. Gotta admit i think he's value at that price. Problem is his peformance this week was so bad compared to his usual standard, i cannot see how he'll pick up votes. And unless up against lloyd-who i doubt will be btm 2, or the twins-who WON'T be bottom 2-i'd be pretty certain bar simon he'd be voted off, although as simon controls it all, then whatever he decides will happen. Just gotta see through all the smoke.

Im still not liking rachel at all and have topped up on her leaving again at just under 4-1 on betfair. If she's up against either lucie or jamie i'd be pretty certain they'd vote her off. And despite lucie looking great and sounding okay, she won't pick up votes and could easily be up against danyl or rachel this week. Problem is i think she'd probably get kept in against either of those, but that's why she was a big price to go.

Joe didn't have his greatest week, jamie seems to be unable to truely sparkle, stacey looks a keeper without winning-she'll get a chat show, and lloyd just cannot sing. This competition looks like it could be set up for an olly v twins finale right now, go twins! :)

Rachel outclassed Lloyd in every way and was one of the most entertaining performers in the competition, and her version of Stop Crying Your Heart Out was a pleasure to watch.

Face it

its a popularity contest NOT a talent contest !!!!

I agree with this, but at the end the judges should be choosing the talent. And Rachel was best hands down

Rachel was never gonna win this, neither will lloyd, so no matter who went really. Bar those who bkd her to leave of crse:)

Nice to see danyl saved by the public from the bottom 2 this week, reckon he'll go on for a few more weeks now, might even win it. Of crse that's providing the twins don't, which really does seem a big possibility right now, loadsa money on betfair for them earlier at 12s, looks like they mighta topped the polls again this week. I reckon that they were only the last mentioned act to be safe so as those kids keep voting 4 them.

Next week will be interesting, lloyd clearly hasn't got much of a girlie vote going on, but may get a few sympathetic votes after this week's close shave with his bad voice an all, i've a feeling lucie will struggle soon.

She's okay I guess. But nothing special imo, might have a few fans in wales but doubt very much that whole nation is voting for her.

She comes accross a little conceited to me, i don't see the young female demographic group voting for her, for a start she's nice looking which probably dsnt go down too well. She can't seem to take any criticism, something rachel seemed guilty of too.

I just think somebody like stacey will be much more popular with the public, regardless of talent, and anyways she's no superstar. Against the real pacesetters so far of joseph, olly and even the twins-she stands no chance in terms of the public vote.

I don't really dislike her tbh, just think she is consistently value in terms of being in the bottom 2 and thus being voted off. Lloyd was something like 5-2 fav to go this week and she was 28s, imo thats value.

That weetabix advert is so com. Best thing in this thread atm.

I dont know why but I hate Lucy. I want Danyl to do well, J+E obvvvv..

Theres no way someone like Jamie will ever win the X factor, wish he'd just go now, same goes with Llyod, I actually really dislike the guy. He can't sing? He cant dance? He just stands there? He isnt even THAT good looking? wtf?

Also I hate deadlock, it's so shit.

1st Judge (judge of one of the acts) - votes for their act
2nd Judge (votes for one of the contestants)
3rd Judge (judge of one of the acts) - votes for their act
4th Judge - votes for the act with 1 vote. Absolute cop outs, just be honest ffs.

Title: Re: X Factor 2009

tactical? She was NEVER gonna win. Neither was Lloyd. He voted for Rachel because:

It would leave Cheryl with just 1 act. Louis with 1 act and Dannii and himself with 3. He just wanted to even it up a bit

Maybe Jamie will go next week so they have 2 each and Louis has 1

Getting rid of Rachel was a tactical decision by Simon

How is it tactical - There was always more chance of Lloyd winning than Rachel, even though a deaf man could tell she is better than him.

The voting public didn't like her and if the public don't like you then you cannot win.

Still very surprised Lloyd was in the last 2 though.

They should make public the exact amount of votes each contestant got imo.

It was probably tactical to make the public think their vote counts more and encourage them to vote more so he gets more cash.

Why would he want her in, if she can't win votes she won't sell records or tickets and won't make him money.

Apparently there is a "free vote site" running that passes your vote on to the x factor. Its results are below:

Obviously not gospel....but 10,000 should give a fairly good match to the real vote.

X Factor results (voting week 4)
1. Danyl Johnson .....35%
2. John & Edward ....30%
3. Olly Murs
4. Lucie Jones
5. Jamie Archer
6. Stacey Solomon
7. Joe McElderry
8. Lloyd Daniels
9. Rachel Adedeji

Source: Free2call.tv (based on 10,000 votes)

if its to become a singing contest which its suppose to be the bottom 2 must be jedwood and lloyd they are so much weaker than the rest.

personally i thought jamie was very good this week and danyl, oly, stacey and lucie were pretty decent too so i think the public might just get it right this week.

gota give credit to louis he has created great energy and support around john and edward to try a disguise the fact that they cant sing.

Jamie was awful last night but strong enough other weeks.

Lloyd is horrendous and worse than Jedward for me. Neither can sing but at least they are entertainment of a sort where as he is dull as dishwater. He should have gone last week.

Olly is the strongest so far. 2 weeks of very strong confident performing.

Sandy

funny really the scottish accent get right on my wick to, must be where we come from lol

Just looked at Facebook and all it is x Factor Comments, its a load of shit promoting crap music and was done years ago with New Faces, Opportunity Knocks, without making mostly talentless muppets rich! nice work if you can get it!

yeah. still entertaining tho!

That could be true Mr Brent, but its a bit tilting when you are in Spain, and everyone is on about X factor including the Spanish, Dutch, even the Afghans!!! im all in with 34 off and its "omg the mo fkin twins are still in"....gees!

don't play shove with 34o then   ;D

I was bluffing tho... 8), and he had a turban...

what does a turban have to with anything?

My Indian housemate at uni said never ever mess with the Turbanators...

This is true just wondering where the random reference came from!!!

Queen week this week. Rumour has it.

Jedward - Under pressure/ Ice ice baby    Lets only do a small part of a queen song because we can't sing anyway.

Stacey - I want to break free          Hard week for her but may these are the days of our lives,  it's a hard life, or love of my life would be better

Joe - Somebody to love             I'm going slightly mad, save me,friends will be friends would be better for him.

Lloyd - Crazy little thing called love          Don't know if he has a strong enough voice for any queen song but love of my life or good old fashioned lover boy might have been a good choice

Danyl - We are the champions      Should manage although surprised it's not somebody to love.

Olly - Don't stop me now        Good song but Mcfly covered and it's overplayed.   Spread your wings is better or hammer to fall.

Jamie - Seven seas of rhye              Not so sure. Hammer to fall or tie your mother down.

Stacey and Lloyd for bottom ?

Is this 100%? I only ask because there have been a few "late changes" in recent weeks. Also FWIW I agree with Kev, however much I'd like it Stacey will not be bottom 2 if anything the elimination of Rachel and Lucie will strengthen her position as she is the most likely to pick up hte extra voters imo.

So Jamie and who else for the bottom 2 - very hard to predict this week

huge over-reaction by the bookies, cutting joe to 15/8 on the back of last nights perfrmance. The kid is destined for musicals and tin-pan alley. He's far too cheesy to win this. Still delighted with my position of olly being my only winner.

1. Joe
2. Stacey
3. Danyl

6. Lloyd

imo.

Please get rid of Lloyd, he's ran so good to get through so far he should have been 1st out...

I watched them all through again and feel that Stacey could be in trouble, I then looked at her price to go and can't believe it's 60/1!

I backed her to go with a view to lay if she is in bottom two, better than backing bottom two at 6/1 imo.

I have a feeling it could be Stacey and Lloyd bottom two - meaning it will go to public votes.

If not then Stacey and Jedward bottom two - meaning Jedward go.

It can't go to the public vote again.... there would then be no point at all for the judges to be there. They have to show some power tonight.... Lloyd in the bottom, hes gone... Jedward... there gone, no chance any of the big guns will go tonight.

My moneys on Lloyd but now think its jedwards time up. Pleae leave Lloyd so I can play the 10.15 mansion!

Didnt enjoy it tonight as my two favourites went head to head and i knew one had to go.

In the end i wanted Olly to go through as have money on him @ 10/1 since the start of the live shows.

I disagree with Ironside, John & Edward were thoroughly entertaining and the shows will be duller without them imo, wp to them, they had a great run.

Surely Lloyd will go next week, and then it will be upto the big 4 to fight it out. I think theyve been the 4 best singers all along, although Lucy briefly threatened to make it a big 5.

It's one Elton John and one Take that song this week, here they are:

Stacey
Something Abut The Way You Look Tonight - Elton John
Rule The World - Take That

Joe
Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word - Elton John
Could It Be Magic- Take That

Lloyd
I'm Still Standing - Elton John
Million Love Songs - Take That

Danyl
Your Song - Elton John
Relight My Fire - Take That

Olly
Saturday Nights Alright For Fighting - Elton John
Love Ain't Here Anymore- Take That

Joe was by far the best over the 2 performances which given his non popular song choices is amazing.

Danyl was great 1st and decent 2nd. (still don't like him)

Olly was pretty weak without being horrible. He would be a sell out performer rather than a no 1 artist.

Stacey was horrid 1st and very good 2nd but would she sell records or tickets ?

Stacey or Olly should be in competition to go but you have to remember it's not only based on talent.

Passing an exam doesn't make you clever. There are many people who enter a the real world who are qualified for a position but can only do what the text book says because they don't have what it takes to think for themselves when the text book doesn't specify what to do.

Stacey comes across as not the brightest and to that regard if she had the memory to do well in her exams it wouldn't really alter my opinion.

Insiders revealed that there were a string of X-rated tantrums between the final four.

Olly Murs, Danyl Johnson, Stacey Solomon and Joe McElderry had trouble keeping their tempers as they fought to reach this weekend’s final.

An X Factor source revealed: “It might have been all smiles in front of the cameras but it was a different story backstage.

“Nerves were really playing havoc with them all. There was a lot of bickering and back-biting about the songs which had been selected.

“Several of the contestants were far from happy with their choices.

“Olly and Danyl hadn’t been in the best of humour all week.

“Meanwhile, Stacey also seemed to be struggling with her toothache.

“Only Joe appeared to rise above it all and just got on with performing his songs. But the fact that he was praised by all the judges caused even more backstage tension.

“It’s the hardest week of all because the contestants know one will miss out on the final.”

Olly, 25, and Danyl, 27, have already been involved in a long-running feud and have not spoken to each other for three weeks, sources claimed.

And, it was alleged, the pair squared up to each other in the X Factor house during an angry row.

A source claimed the pair’s moods were caused by “jealousy” and the feeling they had been “stitched up”.

They were said to be “devastated” to learn Hannah Montana track The Climb was show boss Simon Cowell’s choice for the winner’s first single as it would suit a younger singer.

Meanwhile, cocky teacher Danyl upset sexy single mum Stacey, 20, by claiming she should be at home looking after her 18-month-old son.

To add to the drama, the judges have also been bickering and back-biting about each other’s acts, with Simon, 50, upsetting both Louis Walsh, 57, and Cheryl Cole, 26.

Meanwhile, Aussie panelist Dannii Minogue, 38, and Cheryl have also angered Simon over their alleged verbal “bullying” of Danyl.

But they all agreed on Geordie sensation Joe, 18. The bookies’ favourite rose above the squabbles to let his

performance do the talking, with blistering versions of Michael Jackson’s She’s Out of My Life and Journey’s Open Arms.

Louis gushed: “You have the talent to sell millions of records. There’s a big, big gap in the market for someone like you.”

Dannii added: “You just sing like a dream. I can hear you all over the radio, all over the records.”

Simon confessed: “I’m proud of you.” And Joe’s mentor Cheryl added: “I’m prouder.”

The semi-final shows, capped by last night’s performances by Janet Jackson, 43, and Lady GaGa, 23, had a total audience of over 30million.

I won't see the final but whoever wins will be more Leon Jackson than Leona Lewis as far as their chart success goes. The winner will have the Christmas number one but doubtful that they'll have another one. The show has been good this year but the final three is without the two best singers.

I really hope Joe doesn't win, should be on that musical thing on the beeb with Andrew Lloyd Webber. I'm not at all keen on Olly either so by default I hope Stacey wins.

Maybe so but he did perform unlike Robbie who was mince and maybe even killed Olly who, when on his own, was pretty good.

results week by week

stacey and dannyl were early favourites

racheal won the popular vote one week then out the next

olly would of been out to jedwood if the judges did what they usualy do and took it to deadlock

Interesting to see that there never really was a massive Jedward bandwagon - they were generally in the bottom few.

Also, the figures highlight the fact that people were generally voting on the performances every week - look at how Danyl and Rachel's vote share jumped about in weeks 3 and 4.

Joe never won the phone vote in the first 6 weeks, then was never even remotely challenged.
