Doesn't help you in this case but write your ITIN number on the inside of the back cover of your passport so you have it on hand when cashing out

ORRRRRR... store it as a contact in your phone??

You seen how often these kids lose their phones? Only just more often than they lose passports

I used to tell the cabbies to take me the freeway when came/went downtown, it's much quicker and I can live with a couple bucks more to not be sat in traffic Cheesy

Yeah it's quicker/cheaper to go downtown via the freeway, but we were taken on the freeway from Aria to Wynn which was ridiculous.  Most of the taxi drivers seem to want to rip you off, it was constant.

Ha, we had the exact same situation getting a can from Aria to Wynn. He told me that the strip would be very busy and was it ok to go a faster route. I'm usually pretty good at directions as I rent a car every year but around the back of Aria is one place I wasn't sure on the best way to go (pretty sure it's down Harmon then left on Koval) but I mistakenly said yes. His idea of a faster route had us going south on Polaris and looping back north on I15 surprise surprise taking us past a "club" he thought we might want to try. He did floor it down the freeway probably because he wanted to justify his "fastest" description of the route

I refused to tip when we arrived as I told him he'd taken us the long way and he didn't put up too much of a fight. Didn't think to give him less but then I hadn't taken a cab between the 2 before so wouldn't be sure what the fare should have been

Did anyone try the US sim cards mentioned earlier in thread? Were they worth it/good value

Planning on going again late Nov/Early Dec for rodeo anyone been then have any tips?

I had the holidayphone card.  Voice side was good, phoning home from anywhere for long-ish calls and not having to trapse back to the room was ideal.  US calls/texts all fine.  Data side didn't work so was resorting to wifi for that (admittedly I didn't try too hard to fix it)

But imo, £26 from t-mob ftw.

Had to activate the data by downloading something via wifi 1st on my iPhone. Was in the instructions, once done the data worked really well and was the main reason I'd get this again

How was your experience calling uk numbers? How often did it work by calling the number direct and how often did you have to go the more convoluted route of ringing a given US number 1st before the uk one?

Unfortunately I busted the 1k on day 1, shoving AK over an open and losing to TT

This was the last event on my schedule. I cashed for $8,329 in the PLO8 which took total cashes to $13,187. 1% = $131.87 etc

Thanks to all those who invested or bid - hope you feel like you got a sweat for your money. I know it's cliched but a little more run good at crucial times (especially in the 10k where I was cruising until I got coolered for the lot) and we could have turned a nice profit here. As it is at least we made some cash back and got into a few spots to give ourselves a good chance

I sold my $$ at spot yesterday and so can repay everyone by UK bank xfer if they pm me their details

thanks

Karl

Didn't work out - busted 30th

Shoved A983 with a suit and found 2 people behind with hands, which was annoying because I would have scooped if only the 1st guy calls

Am playing the $1k now, our last event. Hopefully we can get another sweat

Who writes these "laws" that mean they can't legally run a women only tournament?

If need be have an identical men only tournament on the same day. How can that be discriminating to anyone given the other 100 events are all open for anyone to enter?

Did you hold an identical men only tournament on the same day? No.

Did anyone else? No.

Could you force someone to? No.

I wasn't saying I had organised such a tournament or that anyone had, I was suggesting it as a solution

Is it discriminatory that men aren't allowed in women's toilets or visa versa?

No, because it's the same for both. It would be discriminatory if women were allowed in men's toilets but also had women only toilets.

Don't you agree?

I completely agree thus proving my solution of running an identical men only tournament at the same time would be a fair solution

There are seperate ladies and gents toilets everywhere. It would not be a solution to have a ladies only toilet and a sign saying 'Someone should provide a gent's toilet'.

Would you personally agree to run a parallel 'men only' tournament every time there's a ladies only one?

If not, will you make sure someone else does it?

If the answer to these questions is 'No' then it's not really a solution then is it?

Without wanting to go around in circles (because I think you agreed with my principle of it being fair if the same thing is offered to both) I'm not suggesting any signs are put up or that it's a solution to world peace but in the specific case of the wsop ladies event I think it's a good solution.

I can't personally guarantee anything unfortunately, was just suggesting a solution which seems fair for the wsop to overcome this perennial problem

Got up to 11k after making a flush vs someone who had a set every hand.

Then got moved tables to the annual limping convention. Isolating a guy who limped 90% of hands didn't work out with A9hh when I flopped a 9 and turned a flush draw vs his J7. Other attempts to isolate also failed when people found hands behind and I had to fold. I eventually found KK and he limp reraised all in with AQo and I held to get back to 6k.

I didn't say a word to the guy at any point but I don't think he liked me cramping his style. I opened to 425 utg+1 with QQ on his big blind and he was the only caller. He check raised my 525 to 1,575 on the flop of 235r and beat me in the pot for my 5,500 total. I was just trying to work out what A6o represented on that flop before I was sent spinning by one of Barry Greenstein's finest

Shame because it would have been a fun table from there. 3k plo8 is next for me on tuesday
