BA are adding 3 flights a week to Vegas from Gatwick starting late October Mon/Wed/Sat.
Hopefully it goes to daily and the competion with Virgin keeps the prices down.Departure times are very similar to VA.

Now if they could be 747 planes rather than the crappy 777 planes, everyone's a winner! Wink

Flights back from LV now depart from Terminal 3. My travel docs said terminal 2 as the new terminal changes only began operating last weekend.

How did you enjoy staying at The Nugget Phil, did it live up to my hype?

Bit disappointed with T3 to be honest and was gutted to not be able to have a farewell Burger King last week Sad

Yeah that simcard that Karl posted up was ideal, cost me £26 for the sim and lasted the whole 2 1/2 weeks with a $25 top up.

Just got my uk phone bill yesterday and it was £160 down from the almost £500 I think it was last year

I had the holidayphone card.  Voice side was good, phoning home from anywhere for long-ish calls and not having to trapse back to the room was ideal.  US calls/texts all fine.  Data side didn't work so was resorting to wifi for that (admittedly I didn't try too hard to fix it)

But imo, £26 from t-mob ftw.

Top tips for Vegas following our recent trip!

1.  Take some earplugs but make sure you hide them from the maid so she doesn't throw them away!
2.  Make sure the taxi driver tells you his route before you head off anywhere.  They continually tried to rip us off by taking the freeway when it was much cheaper to go either on the strip or behind Bally's/Venetian.
3.  Visit Town Square on the Deuce bus (south of Mandalay Bay, adjacent to the airport).  Great outlet with fabulous sales on in every shop inc Abercrombie and Hollister.  Make sure you make use of the many happy hours (actually 3 or 4 hours in most cases!) from 3pm onwards in Blue Martini, Double Helix and English's.
4.  If you're buying in to a WSOP event don't do it on the day of the event, the queues will be ridiculous.  Buy in the evening/night before!
5.  If you have a dinner break at the Rio walk across to the Gold Coast casino which is much quieter to eat.  They have a TGI Fridays and if you ask for quick service you'll get it!  You need to cross the road near the shuttle bus stops and head across to the lower level of the Gold Coast car park.  You can walk through the car park to the casino entrance.
6.  Palazzo Shoppes have a couple of good places with happy hours from 3pm Mon-Fri - Double Helix and Table 10.
7.  Fancy one of the best steaks in Vegas without having to pay the world?  Charlie Palmers at the Four Seasons Hotel have a Cut of the Week menu for only $48 per person.  3 courses and bottomless wine included, absolute bargain.  Their website is updated weekly with the menu - http://www.charliepalmer.com/Properties/CPSteak/LasVegas/Menu/
8.  Try breakfast and/or lunch at the Terrace Point Cafe in the Wynn.  Superb and great value.
9.  If you buy into a Venetian Deepstack event, rather than collecting yet another cap or t-shirt, ask them for the $10 food credit instead!
10. Try Earl of Sandwich in Miracle Mile Shops.  Best sandwiches in the world!

Hope this helps!

I loved the Nugget, stayed there for a couple days last year when playing the 2 $1k tourneys downtown. Was booked in for 11 days this year in the Rush tower and ended up staying 14.  Absolutely loved the place and will be staying there again next year too, great drinking atmosphere downtown and the people are com!

I used to tell the cabbies to take me the freeway when came/went downtown, it's much quicker and I can live with a couple bucks more to not be sat in traffic Cheesy

Yeah it's quicker/cheaper to go downtown via the freeway, but we were taken on the freeway from Aria to Wynn which was ridiculous.  Most of the taxi drivers seem to want to rip you off, it was constant.

Love the trip from the airport to the wynn, probs done it 10 times now,  complete randomness on the pricing/route.

Am pretty sure some could do you for $30 airport to the Aria.
