Burnley have to be a bet surely odds against to go down this year surely?

Agree with this, think Keane will be a huge loss to them too.

Also think that Watford are starting to look like a team to be with on the handicap at plus 42 points.

Seems a change in transfer policy this year, with Hughes, Chalobah, Gray, and the young Brazilian Richarlison. Talk of Gibbs from Arsenal too.

Really rate Silva as a manger too.

Does anyone else think that the 25/1(p/p) for Conte to be the 1st Premier Manager to leave is too big.
Seems very frustrated at lack of incoming transfers and with the Costa situation.
Would walk into another top job with his CV.
Has a track record of walking if unhappy.
Italian football journalist Mina Rzouki on BBC Radio 5 live's Monday Night Club: "Conte has not been the most loyal person in football.
He desperately wanted to be the manager of Juventus because he had been club captain and he finally got the job in 2011. It came out of nowhere in the sense he did not have the experience for a top-level club. They gave him that chance, gave him everything he wanted, and after winning the title in 2014 he just thought they weren't buying the right players to win the Champions League.
He walked away and looked to be agreeing terms with Milan - their biggest rivals at the time. He is somebody who looks after himself and what suits him best.
But walking away with six days before the new season starts is something else."

Seems a big price to me.

With Neymar seeming a done deal, it must be worth putting PSG in multiples too at 1/4.

I think the 12/1 to win the champions league is value, suggest £20 at 12/1.

Hi what do we possibly know about PSG at 12-1 that the market doesn't?

the price has moved ahead of Neymar joining, now he joins and we want to back it now?

p.s AC Milan at 9-1 (equally, all the transfer activity is priced in) for the Europa looks better if we are talking ante post...:-)

Hello.
It just seemed to me that the biggest transfer in football history being confirmed made PSG seem value at 12/1 with Neymar v Barcelona at 4/1 without Neymar.
I thought 12/1 was a stale price I wouldn't want to lay.
PSG consistently make the quarter finals and this signing seems to take them to the next level.
I accept that having been 20/1 two weeks ago you might not want to take 12/1.
12/1 now gone, as short as 17/2.

It is 12/1 in 4 spots still.  As short as 17/2 is pretty meaningless.

12/1 may well be a bit big still, as it has gone shorter on betfair, albeit for peanuts.

You'd still put them after Bacelona, Real Madrid and Bayern and he isn't really worth 222m Euros, is he?

I am not sure Tikay wants much long term stuff either.

Thanks for the replies, all good points and happy for you to leave it.
Would Neymar signing make PSG an even more attractive option for other top players such as Coutinho/Sanchez, and see the price contract further?

I was after opinion on Crewe to get promoted a few weeks back at 10/1 (40s for the league) (Although as skinny as 13/2 for relegation as well...) They were much improved after changing manager last year and have some fight and spirit back into the club, I know a lot of fans had stopped going as there seemed no belief from the players that they could win week in, week out. They signed a 15-20 goal a season league 2 striker Chris Porter from Colchester (16 last year), and have added some experience to their usual youthful look. Michael Raynes from Carlisle is a good defender at that level, and they also picked up Eddie Nolan a defender from Blackpool.

In a league where ~10 points usually covers 15 odd teams in the middle, does he think the new signings and better coaching this time around can make a big enough difference to push them into at least the top 7?

Or am I just being an over-ambitious homer?

Would also like to know why Mansfield are the favs for the division (I'll admit I don't follow football as much as I used to, but that seems out of nowhere, there's obviously reasons somewhere)

think the problem might be there's simply no knowledge of Crewe to give a supportive or dissenting opinion....

however at 40-1 and 10-1 to go up there might not need to be

Mansfield. the lovely steve evans, a high profile chairman, big turnover of players. the sexy pick in a weaker division (?) than last year.

For information.
Crewe along with Forest Green put up by Sporting Life for promotion and on handicaps.

Ante post preview by Sporting life.

They fancy Middlesboro and Wolves to go up, and Billy Sharp top goalscorer.

Championship relegation.

For information.
Watched a good ante post football preview on At The Races today with Steve Freeth of BET365.
He was saying all of the money had been for Bolton, and this was due to the transfer embargo and off the field problems.
He said they were banned from doing season long loans, and were only allowed to loan for 6 months maximum.
Also that they had a wage cap of £4,500 per week.
Worth a watch if you can on catch up. Screened between 12 and 1 today.

Can't wait for the season.
I think Reading are going to have a good season, with Mannone a improvement on Al Habsi, but will miss Wiliams.
I thought that the best way to get with them was on the handicap market.
Like Wolves too, but the value prices have disappeared.
I want to be against Hull and Sunderland in match bets/spreads because of all the changes, maybe at huge prices to go down.
Unfortunately as a QPR supporter, I think the wheels have come off and I can see us going down this year.
Problems off the field and tightening of purse strings due to the still unresolved FFP fine, along with a really poor end to the season.

Does anyone think that Swansea are going to struggle this year?
Struggled for most of last season.
Cork gone to Burnley.
Llorente missing the start of the season and linked elsewhere.
Sigurdsson misses trip to USA because of all speculation.
Defeat to Barnet with a strong squad.
I feel that 9/4 to be relegated is value.
Also at a bigger price 10/1 to finish bottom seems too big.

I tipped them for relegation last season and they just wriggled out of it. Think they will struggle again this season. Price is sure to drop should they lose Sigurdsson (and it's only a matter of time before they come to their senses and sell)

There are 3 worse teams than Swansea, but it feels like we're due an 'established' club dropping down.

As this has had a bit of support, and Swansea struggled to a 2-2 draw in America yesterday, I would like to recommend my first bet on the thread, £20 Swansea to finish bottom at 10/1.

Following on from the Wolves record signing, and more possible incoming transfers I have been looking at ways to get with them.
The best opportunity I have seen so far is in the top Midlands club market.
Only two firms have priced the market up so far.
Bet365 have cut them from 4/1 to 3/1 today.
I think that the 7/2 available with William Hill is too big, and may shorten.
Recommend £20 .

Nice life betting to those %'ages!  FML.   Just the 295%!  Probably any others on request as well to give them the extra edge of having a skinner and none of them actually winning!

Those odds look generous compared to this pitch;
6/4, 6/4, 5/2, 3/1, 4/1, 4/1, 4/1, 5/1, 5/1, 5/1, 6/1, 8/1, 20/1, others on request! dead-heat rules apply.
Photo proof at 1330 entry of link.
Best bit is the £50 max bet, because you can't be too careful
