I didn't even know we were on Konta so hedging has nothing to do with my comments.  As most people know i don't hedge anyway and wouldn't suggest for fred or others to do so generally.  I just don't understand why she is half the price of every other runner in the field.  It is that straightforward.

I have just explained why she is favourite.  Plus she has played an extra match than a fair few of those just behind her, and her next match isn't that bad. Who do you think should be shorter?  Where are your's and tighty's positive selections at the current prices?  If she should be 7/1 rather than 11/2, that gets you 3% off the overound.  Is that enough to make this a great betting opportunity?

I don't think you were thinking of hedging.

i haven't got a clue who to back, i merely asked the question :-)

no need to tear into me about it

My view she is such a short fav because she has been over bet ante post and during the event.  Firms are full because she is British.  Just looks a classic overbet spot to me and a lay.  I didn't at any stage say it was a great betting opportunity (it is probably a min stakes lay tbh) but i make a living laying 7/1 shots at 11/2 day in day out. I have laid it personally after not being that impressed with her so far and put it on TFT because the place was quiet this week for some discussion without having a clue TFT were on Konta ante post at a huge price i imagine.

I get the fact some of the 10/1 12/1 pokes will shorten later in the day once they are through to the same stage as Konta but Konta will still be the fav which i don't think is right.  You seem to be taking it very personal doobs for some reason.

500-1 Rybarikova through to 4th round 6-2, 6-1 with very few problems. Played some lovely finesse tennis, great range of shots. Into week 2!

Why does everbody take it personally when you start sniping?  Must be just them.

Last word on it for me before i go and sit in the garden and watch Coco shit up hopefully. She is tight 6.2 on machine now.  2/5 to win her next match.  That makes her (all other things being equal) a 7/2 shot at the quarter final stage.  That means she will be an 8/13 shot on average (8/13 x 8/13 x 8/13 = 7/2) for her last 3 matches.  Do you really think she is going to be that short in each of the potential 1/4, semi and final match ups?  I don't.  hence why i am happy to oppose her at the prices.

11/4 united don't finish in the top 4.....

Edit - will put a bit of meat on the bones, though more for discussion/thoughts than a rec, plus the price could maybe increase with confirmation of Lukaku plus any other signings.

So Lukaku will replace Ibra's goals from last season. A great striker undoubtedly, but with various question marks hanging over him (first touch, general link up play etc), plus the fee potentially weighing on his shoulders? They've also nabbed this defender who's name escapes me, though defence wasn't exactly an issue last season (and rarely is under a Mourinho team)

I don't see any last seasons top 3 dropping out, even with Spurs having the Wembley 'issue' and Chelsea back in European competition. You've got 3, maybe 4 teams if Everton can push on, battling for one spot. I'm not sure united are any better equipped than Liverpool or Arsenal to make a good run at the top 4. Obv a lot can change between now and the transfer window shutting so perhaps a market to keep an eye on....

Liverpool are best priced 10/11 to miss out
Arsenal 5/6
Yet you can get 11/4 on united to finish outside the top 4 (this is why Shy though, otherwise 5/2 with beteveryday)

Reuben Neves is an incredible signing for a Championship club. The stats boys have been all over him and he's still just 20. Rumour they're in for Aboubaker too. FFP out the window clearly. Don't see any standout clubs like Brighton and Newcastle this year so Wolves entitled to be well in the mix.

F1 bets coming later tonight for those wondering.

Intentionally haven't posted so far this weekend because the Red Bull Ring is a bit of an unusual circuit and largely unpredictable .. moreso with the 2017 spec. cars, we've already seen multiple spins throughout the weekend, and this will be a factor in the race too.

Following on from the Wolves record signing, and more possible incoming transfers I have been looking at ways to get with them.
The best opportunity I have seen so far is in the top Midlands club market.
Only two firms have priced the market up so far.
Bet365 have cut them from 4/1 to 3/1 today.
I think that the 7/2 available with William Hill is too big, and may shorten.
Recommend £20 .

Although I am a Crewe fan (from afar) I still follow all they do and their usual Achilles heel is at the back, this summer they've signed 4 players already, a few of them experienced defenders to go with their usual youthful squad. A guy from Blackpool and Carlisle and a 21 yr old from Hartlepool. They got Chris Porter early on who's a decent league 2 striker, again adding experience to the team and signed Jordan Bowery on a permanent deal. They also love the loan market so I'd expect them to sign a premiership kid or two, Alex Kiwomya was great on loan from Chelsea last year for them.

They changed manager for the second half of last season and he seemed to bring a sense of unity and some actual effort to the players who before that looked like they couldn't be arsed.

They're 10/1 to be promoted (40s for the league which I highly doubt) but I can see a top 7 finish. It's always a very close league and any slight improvement makes a big difference. Not a recommendation as such, as I'm not that into football anymore but I always follow the results and keep and eye on everything else in the league. I do think that 10/1 is generous (think it's also 10/1 to be relegated...) and had a bit of my own cash on it already.
