You''ll have to wait while I tell her what she thinks.
LOL - I agree with Tom - no surprise there then.... I think that for a marriage to work it has to be a partnership, you can't live in one another pockets but, you have to have some things in common, I like a lot of things he likes, TV, cinema, music, walking, nature, eating, sightseeing to name a few. We have been that long together we have even started finishing each others sentences.... Having said that I think that you still have to keep your own identity and not become a carbon copy ..... We do share a love of all things outdoor, as I have already said but we do have likes and dislikes we work around them sort of things .....TV programmes etc. I think the main thing is to be happy with your life. I like to enjoy myself like anyone else, I also want Tom to enjoy himself too! So we don't stick the spoke in with each other just for the sake of it.

Interesting that the average age of respondents is mid sixties.
If you hadn't responded it would have been mid forties!!!!

Thanks Graham and Ironside, I have spent the whole of yesterday (I kid you not)! trying to make copies of two home videos with my laptop. I thought I had copied them with the VLC app but all it did was 'stream' them into my video file, then they didn't look right 'cos when I 'clicked' them they wouldn't play. I then went through the process of what I thought was burning them onto a disc, then tried to play the DVD only for my laptop to tell me that there was nothing on it! You can clearly see a demarcation (if that's the word) of something on the disc itself and, on looking at the properties of the disc it says it has got so much used, I don't know......
Anyway, got Tom to get an old laptop out which is running Windows XP which I know is now unsupported but, has Media Player, NTI CD&DVD Maker and Cyberlink Power Producer. Spent hours ripping and supposedly burning onto five discs luckily re writable, so no waste...only to get to the same problem, it's on there but, cant' be read by my own laptop, this old one and Tom's so.......
I'm going to try the link you gave me Graham and have another go! I shall not be beaten!!! LOL
Any ideas anyone? Anything at all would be much appreciated....
All the best

So, back in the van and off we go, destination Seligman Arizona on Route 66, about 140 miles away passing through the Mojave desert. The hot dry desert. The desert with Rattlesnakes and Black widows and Tarantulas as our guide gleefully informs us, and a place so lacking in vegetation that a dozen stunted little trees have there own sign, Willow creek, and people slow down to look at them. 'They're there like that all year round!' There was I, just gazing through the window at this amazing landscape that looked like the surface of another planet when our driver suddenly veered off the road and rumbled to a stop on the verge. 'Erm, sorry guy's, the van just lost all power. I don't know what has happened, but try not to worry, I'm just gonna step out and see can I get a signal to phone the office' Try not to worry! WTF! Within 3 minutes of the air con going off, the temperature inside the van had started to climb to match the outside temp of 45 degrees. After 6 minutes I was imagining who would play us on our episode of 'I shouldn't be a alive', Angelina Jolie for me obvs, someone like Kristen Stewart for Bridie and maybe Jackie Stallone could be persuaded to play mother, if she didn't have much on. Minute ten had me eyeing up Roger's Big Gulp and wondering if a Vulcan death grip would work on someone with a neck that resembled a sliced loaf. Thankfully, just then Trayce managed to get the van started again, and my near death experience was over. I made it. Well done me. Unfortunately the van's problems meant that at first we tried to make the next service station to meet a replacement, but we cut out again, so after getting restarted once more they decided it was safer and quicker to head back to the last one and wait, which meant we had to do one 50 mile leg of the journey 3 times But we got there eventually.. LOL xx

Seems like a good idea to me. It's not like any random can just get information on you. If there is a concern on the police side, then they would contact the best suited person to deal with it. No?
Not sure calling it a knee jerk reaction is fair.
Yes, but no one cares what you think. How often do you hear those words at home? When I say jump, Mrs Red says, "How high?". Has Mrs Red forgotten her password for Blonde or have you abused your mod's account and banned her? Mrs Red is right here David ......how high was that dear?
