that is a very similar hand byronkincaid!you cannot have put him on king jack with the pre-flop raise you made.whats he doing calling that raise with king jack?

the last poster made some interesting points-thanks.

why did you raise $25 in a 1/2 game- was there a raise beforehand!!!!!!!!!!!

like i said-it was a VERY loose aggressive game with big stacks and people moving a lot of chips around.i like that kind of game sometimes.

thanks for the comments boldie.i have a decent enough bankroll so worrying about busting out wasnt an issue.it was a fairly loose agressive table-there was a good chance he might have had just middle pair for example.i cant really decide if i played it right or not-sometimes its just hard to get away from a hand i guess.

6 handed $1-$2 blinds.

i have  . i raise $25  folds round to one player who calls.flop comes  .how would you have played this flop?i decided to bet out $50.the other player thinks for a short while and re-raises to $200 and he is all in.i put him on maybe top pair with an ace high str8 draw at best,or possibly 2 pair.(thinking that with pocket kings or queens he would have reraised me preflop).i decide to call and he turns over  for the straight.the board didnt pair and he takes down a nice pot. did i play this hand badly?or should i have got away from it after the reraise of my bet on the flop?any comments or advice would be appreciated.

i saw the show you are talking about and although he did get lucky a lot,he also took some beats when he was in front.devilfish also got very lucky quite a few times.i thought stefanos' call in the final hand (when he had ace high and the other guy had an up and down straight draw and moved all in)was terrible.every dog has his day i guess.

very good point, i tend to agree with you.it seems a lot of people are overreacting to something that wont really have a massive effect on them.

i dont understand the problem.i play on mainly english based sites such as ladbrokes and betfair and actually prefer them.i still make money without playing against yanks.every country has its share of donks and i personally find a lot of them are english.

I am not the winner. I don't play small stakes like 0.25/0.50...

I play for real stakes like $5 SNG's..

well i got burnt at the $5-$10 stakes and was advised to move back down to the game i was winning at.if i can offer any advice to you it would be to go down to the $2 SNG's and wait til you are consistentley beating them before maybe moving up to the bigger stakes like $10 SNG's

i go broke again!im getting fed up with all these outdraws and am beginning to think online poker is fixed.

you have to gamble in these sort of tournaments if you want to win.

When I see a play like that, at that stage of the tournament, I make a note.

is that because it was a good play and you make notes so you can pull moves like that?or some other reason?
