How the hell did that Greek bloke win?  I would have to say he is probably about the worst player I've ever seen on that show (if you don't count some of the celebrities  Wink).  He tried to slow-play with every big hand and got lucky on each occasion.

Worse play of the night:

All fold to Stefanos (Greek bloke) on the button with QQ.  He limps in.
Devilfish in SB (surprisingly) folds
Keston (experienced Pro) checks with 83.

Flop:  K83

Keston checks, Stefanos bets, Keston Raises, Stefanos re-raises, Keston moves all-in.  Despite the K on board and obvious strength shown by Keston, Stefanos calls.

Turn is a miracle Q, and Keston is drawing dead.

River is an 8 to rub salt into the wounds.

Just horrible!!

I wonder how on earth these guys manage to qualify for this event.

</end of rant>

i saw the show you are talking about and although he did get lucky a lot,he also took some beats when he was in front.devilfish also got very lucky quite a few times.i thought stefanos' call in the final hand (when he had ace high and the other guy had an up and down straight draw and moved all in)was terrible.every dog has his day i guess.

i think some of the speach play by the devilfish crossed the line and a strong TD would have called him up for it

espically when 3 handed and eastman all in for 20k the greek guy calls and the devilsih calls and say "now no bluffing with the all in player" we all know why the fish said it but it was out of order in my view

i only saw the end of the show and the only moves i saw 3 handed was all in or fold and this was after only 65-70 hands
roll on the WH grand prix and we might get to see some poker on tv rather than bingo

I agree that Devilfish's chat was out of order, especially in the hand I mentioned in my OP.  When Keston pushed, DF said "must have 83" before Stefanos had made a decision.  Surely that sort of chat isn't allowed if you're not in the hand.

The problem is that Devilfish is such a draw to that tournament, the TD is likely (or been told) not to say anything.

I think anyone in his Round 2 heat will now know to be wary if Stefanos limps into any hands.

Was the TD Marty Wilson?

I thought the standing rule for TV crapshoots was that they had to be TD'd by Marty Wilson. So i guess yes!

Sky and Laddies outsourced the poker million to Matchroom. It was filmed at Leyton Orient fc, chairman Barry Hearn. Matchroom emplys Wilson as TD for all its TV tournaments

With blinds starting at 1,000-2000 and 50x bb starting stacks its unwatchable
