Overpriced.....like all apple products. The problem with Apple is that the second you want to do something with one of their devices that they do not want you to, then you are in for a frustrating time.
They are just pretty products. functionality wise you always hear Apple fans trying to justify why they have the product. surely there is no need. Also if you are asking the question then surely there is doubt in your mind already Still you pays your money and takes your choice.
I've just had skim read of the last page or two of this and it's brilliant stuff.
The general consensus I got is that everybody is too clever to be working?
The government's new spending review is clearly a big f**k up. All they needed to do was cancel all spending on education.
They would've solved the deficit crisis within a year and concurrently everybody would've been able to get jobs and everything would be great.
I should be PM.
The problem in lots of cases is that people don't tailor their CV/cover letter for the specific job. Every job you apply for should have a unique CV and cover letter that is focused on that specific role and company. No use having a 'one size fits all' CV, as you'll probably find that it actually doesn't fit anyone that well. I know that this is more difficult with some job sites and if you're going through an agency. But hard work in getting your introduction right can make the world of difference, especially in a competitive market. Being on the other side of recruitment it's very easy to dismiss a 'vague' CV and short-list one that looks like it's tailored towards the actual role you've advertised. What is the saying... "you don't get a second chance at a first impression"? So very true when a recruiter is looking for reasons to eliminate candidates to put together a short-list for interviews.
As for going for work that you think you're over-qualified for, again tailor your CV so that it puts you across as the ideal candidate for the role. Be creative where necessary (exaggerate some points, omit others) but try not to lie. That won't do you any good long-term (unless you're a bloody good liar).
-> You don't get a second chance to make a good first impression.
Hi folks this is Patrick's brother. Just really to say many thanks for all the kind words everyone has had to say about him. It's really nice to know he was so well liked and touched as many people's lives as he did.
Sometimes in life you drop the ball. Kev is writing a very articulate diary at the moment.
We all make mistakes and we all can look for sympathy, or write not wanting sympathy and still get it.
What I would like to see from Kev is to turn the corner and admit he has fucked up. I honestly believe he is dragging his sentence out.
His diary mostly consists of Blah Blah Blah I'm skint.
I'm sure getting a job will lead to other things improving. I want Kev to succeed. But there are no free tickets in life and there is no use in licking your wounds.
I wish Kev all the best. Get your suit on and sell yourself. Voluntary work is fine when your loaded. No1 must come first.
If it was down to a set of new clobber to get Kev suited and booted for interviews. He knows where i am.
Don't please think I'm being hard or ruthless I could tell you things that would make the toughest man weep.
Regards
M
There are some people who fall on hard times/encounter emotional distress and play the victim role excessively and end up wallowing in their own pity. From the last diary entries especially, I would definitely not say this is true of Kev, in fact he is doing hell of a lot of positive stuff (apart from the ukelele thing obv).
Was on Google maps today, looks like they have been going *everywhere* with their little trucks. My neighbour's house is down a little track in the middle of nowhere, there it is in all its detailed glory. Worth checking out the latest streetviews.
My friend is swapping out his wonky HTC Desire for a new one, but wants to back it all up to storage card and take select files with him before wiping it. Some files aren't backed up by this process so he wants to pull them out manually. Is there a decent file manager? Is there a way of installing a program by using a PC to put an install prog on an SD card?
Never would have expected it from this guy. Just terrible. Mind you, she would have an infinitely better life. Who cares about maintaining the family unit...
Thoughts?
With hindsight, I think my parents would have thrown in my big sis too for that price
Anything said about poker by non-poker players. 'Oh on the internet eh? Must be a lot harder, not being able to see their faces. I'd like to play but I have a rubbish poker face. 'How did you get on?' 'Fine' (Raised eyebrows) 'I won $200' (pause) -'Yes but how much did you lose?'
