Paul Scally (Gillingham chairman) "I don't need to hide behind anonymity or a secret ballot. I voted with the League's board and I think I was right to do so. "

LET'S MAKE SURE WE RELEGATE THE ******** it be so so cool if we sent them down.
It would be f-ing quality if we relegated Scally & won the league next weekend! Just relegating that twit will be a joyous occassion.

I would like to play poker at Dusk till Dawn, looks to be an excellent venture and would no doubt attract greater  income for the area (plus employment) as groups from Europe come to attend tournaments.

5  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / How to deal with a passive table? on: July 24, 2007, 12:30:18 AM
Had a poor night in tournie.

I found my table odd, it contained minimum aggression, lots of flat calls to the flop.

Felt like everyone was slow playing. After two hours our table was intact. Maybe I got bored or wasn't in the mood.

Play it tight until big hand crops up?

Play it like Doyle, get raising?

Join in and see if we can score on flop?

Evetually lost AT all in preflop to 32suited and a third caller KQ - Trips 2's taking the threeway pot (2k each from 4k starting)

AT raise 200 blind to 500, 32 calls, KQ goes allin I follow - 32 called the 1500. Rivered his final 2!

So any advice for a sticky table?

AQ offsuit (like AJ off) is a very dangerous hand to play out of position and one to be extremely carefull with. I completely understand why you were told to fold it. It all depends on how much the raise is obviously but if it's not too much I don't particularly like the fold. If it is a substantial raise I fold here every single time. (Assuming blinds are not yet high and I've got plenty chippies left)
Thanks for reply. Good insight Smiley

I was bored yesterday so I decided to let some Poker software decide how to play a 18 man tourny on Stars.

Anyway, things were going well and when I landed  on the big blind I thought I was laughing.

The software told me I should fold under any raise.
As I was doing a kind of boredom induced experiment I folded when a mid range dude raised the blinds.

Luck would have it the raiser had KK and his cards would've have held up against mine.

One - Nil to the software?

The reason for the pause in updates?

Quick break.
Cue norkage perchance?

Don't forget too that you can bet on this final on Blue Square (Ram at 12-1 I hear!), which may include betting in running. So get those bets on and let's have a laugh.
Chip leader at 5/2 looks a steal!!!! Not to mention he has a 900k chip lead

Talking of DTD players, I just witnessed an interesting pot between Conor O'Keefe and Odd Lavik. The board read and I joined the action with Conor, and the rest of the table for that matter (including Marcus Jessen who asked for the clock), deciding whether to call Odd's 6k River bet.

However, although he was taking an age to make up his mind, he suddenly shocked everyone by popping in an extra 10k re-raise. "I certainly didn't expect that," commented Jessen, "I was sure he was folding".

Anyhow, the Dusk Till Dawn player folded pretty swiftly and proudly revealed the .

"Have you not been playing long?" asked O'Keefe.

If O'Keefe did have the straight flush, is it bad practice to take that long before re-raising?
Do we know if O'Keefe had theĀ  ??

His comment seems to suggest he didn't!

PS., Great reporting so far bloggers, any chance you can pass on a goodluck message to Paul Gourlay and give us an update on him. Thanks - The good wishes come from the chaps from 'the ship'

PPS., If you spot Thomas Brolin can you give him an evil stare, love a Leeds United fan LOL (Only kidding)

CHEEKY EDIT: I'm sure Paul will do a pose for camera if asked

Shame to learn of Gourlay's fate. Good effort Paul.

Sounds like he should've let Big Slick sleep against the giant stack of Evans. Damn those Queens - Ironically the same very two Queens which failed to hold up for me last night at Aspers against AJ.
