in the end i elected to push and i got called my AQ with the Q of spades,   the fact i lost the hand dosent bother me it was just if i did the correct thing

and 1 of the reasons i pushed because knowing the players i was playing with i was fairly confident anybody with a K would of called me regardless
32  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / was i right to push? on: August 08, 2007, 11:48:28 PM
playing in a live £50 rebuy comp,   29 runners normally takes £5k  this comp eventually took £4,900

blind levels during rebuy are 50-100/100-200 then 200-400  all 30 min levels, starting stack 3,000

i have just moved tables and the blinds are 200-400,

im on the bb with with 6,700 chips  there is an utg raise to 1,200 and 3 limpers i elect to flat call on the bb hopeing to win a monstor,

the flop comes im 1st to act and decided to try isoloate the bare A or some idiot with AK and push my entire stack in 5,500

is that the correct move?  because after the hand i was told by 3 players that i should of check called and hoped for a non spade turn ?

the outcome doesnt matter its just if i played it right im intrested in,

thanks for your advice, -   stu

i would like to play at dusk till dawn because..

i have a big gambling problem and cannot go into a casino to play poker because i allways end up on the house games,  dusk till dawn will be perfect for that because its 100% poker no distractions
34  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Are Double Chance Freezeouts better? on: July 30, 2007, 07:43:30 PM
i personally prefer double chance freezeouts, mainly because i dont want to travel an hour or two to go out 1st hand and drive all the way back like walsall this weekend i travelled down there to play the montly one if i didnt have the 2nd chance i would of been leaveing with-in an hour and half when my kk got busted by 67/68/JQ/45  i also prefer them because i like the option of being able to play alot of hands early doors and have the knowledge that if i do get looked up i can come back in with plently of chips compared to the blinds i do think that the double chance should be limited to the first 2 levels though because getting it on the 3rd level is pointless getting 3,500 chips at 100-200 seemed a little pointless to me basiclly you either have to nut up or go for it because u can only play 1 hand and maximum 2 orbits or you are crippling yourself thats my only complaint about walsall

u can blame me for mulla haveing all the chips he busted my KK and AA once with 67off and once with Q10  all before the break i didnt last much longer than the break made a push with J9 after 5 limpers on my bb and got looked up with 89  ce la ve lol

as someone who myself have been on either end of this brian i have owed upwards of £5k and been owed upwards of £5k i know what you must be going threw with this guy,  but my advice is a little diffrent to above i can understand why you are pissed off at this guy winning $52 in a comp and not paying you back but he will owe alot of pepole and also have alot of depts at home maybe things he HAD to pay where as you are not someone he feels he HAS to pay back quickly i dont know the guy but that is the way it works in alot of situations the best thing to do is not to lend or borrow but sometimes you have no choice but to if it has been a really bad night,  i think takeing it to a dept collector could have major problems for you he will pay you back most likely but it wouldnt stop there i have taken this route with a dept in the past i sold a £1k dept for £700 and they collected the £1k of the guy in small installments but it causes tension when you see this person and depending who they are it can backfire on you

i would presonally call the person most likely he wont answer his phone to you and leave a nice message offer him your support if you feel he is a genuinely good tournyment player tell him you will sponsor him into a couple of small events and see if he can make you something back in that way try offering him a way out he will be feeling terrible about it inside but he may also of had $20k here or $10k there is could of paid you back but felt he couldnt pay you in small chunks explaine that you will accept that, and also try and set a meet up if he gets back to you then you can talk threw ways around the situation explaine that you dont want to take the bad dept route but you may have to as you are in a bad position yourself or something like that, just try and help him threw it rather than jumping on him if you do that you wont see him for dust

hope it helps

gl snoops, i went to paris 2 years ago hated the place but thats just me lol,

what made it worst that when we left out hotel going down the day before the comp is set to start we take a taxi nightmare in iteself and say Avaivation club on the chanes ellese (forgot the spelling) he says sure np takes us, here there and everywhere kept going round that massive roundabout then he just lets us out on the massive road and says its on here somewhere lol i swear to god we left that taxi at 7pm and didnt find the place till nearly 11pm up and down that road all night was a nightmare lol , there is also a park there somewhere we were in that for a bit havein a break lol, then eventually we got bored of waiting and stoped a cop and he directed us to it but thank god we went the day before imagine going on the day ? lol
