I think there's lots of good music from the noughties (can someone think up a better sounding name please?), it's just not necessarily so commercially available, I'm sure there are many reasons. Luckily we have the Internet to make it easier to find new music (last.fm ftmfw!)
Loved blur, didn't really like Oasis as much. I remember Radiohead put on an awesome show at the Ice Arena in notts, which really surprised me as every other gig i've seen there has had terrible acoustics!
Kings of Leon win the noughties hands down Damon Albarn is ridiculously talented and inventive Noel and Liam are just a pair of mouthy twats, they had a couple of decent songs but have no imagination and should just give up

Interesting Ruling Time: On the river of a Marc Goodwin says, "I bet the pot." The dealer tells him she can't count the pot for him so he bets 1,300 instead. They get a ruling where TD Ian declares if someone says "I bet the pot" the dealer can count it but no-one can ask specifically for a count of the pot. Jen absolutely hates this ruling, because people should be able to keep track of their bets and there's no maximum you can bet other than all your chips. In the hand itself, Goodwin is forced to bet the pot anyway, which is 1,050. He gets called, but shows to win. Ah, i knew i should have popped up to Blackpool! What was her name dewi, help me out? Lorna?

Ive got an Asus EEE1000 80Gb hard drive Intel Atom Processor 1Gb Ram Windows XP Ridiculously impressive piece of kit, Im meant to use it to VPN into work, but really I use it for poker. Two tabling on pokerstars in the pub on Sunday night and it runs beautifully, until the 6th pint of Guinness made me shove 40k in with A8 into KK. I would definately recommend one of these, and but I would go for the XP version rather than Linux.

I would just like to say that not all pub poker is terrible.
Me and Stu run an event every Monday at our local and it's really good fun. We regularly get 25+ runners and have peaked at 36 so it makes for a decent little tourney.
It is really well organised and there are never any disputes because we know the rules that we use and everybody knows that what we say goes.
If this happened at our place the cards are dead as soon as they are thrown at the dealer so you win. There could be an argument if you'd checked first and he exposed face up that if they didn't actually hit the muck then it was a showdown. In your situation though you've been done over.
If your ever in Nottingham on a Monday night you should come along! We get more runners than Gala! 4k Stack 12 minute levels, dealers provided and even a laptop showing the clock, average and prizes etc. yeah, soz, didnt mean to tarnish all pub poker, just the ones iv been to have been dire. sounds like u run a decent one evil.
