1  Poker Forums / Live Tournament Updates / Re: Sky Poker UKPC @DTD: Main Event The final on: February 23, 2014, 02:44:59 PM
621 runners have played down to a final 9.

The final is at 2pm on Sunday, filmed for transmission on the final two of six programmes on Sky SPorts starting in March

Your finalists in seat order are

13    1    Alexander Spencer
13    2    Paul Delaney
13    3    Allan Graham
13    4    Charles Chattha
13    5    Danny Blair
13    6    Deborah Oconnell
13    7    John Haigh
13    8    Steven Sargent
13    9    James Rimmer

Great coverage of a fantastic tournament schedule now culminating in this final . Will be interesting to watch those who are out to win whilst others eye the pay jumps that await their laddering . Interesting blend at the final table from a man with nearly a million in mtt winnings in Charles Chattha to Deborah Oconnel who brilliantly qualified for a  pound and has 1 live cash for 525 pounds to her name according to the Hendon mob database. It's a shame there is no live stream , but with the irreplaceable and perceptive Tighty we have a great commentator to guide through as the final table unfolds.Alexander Spencer has to be favourite to win with a huge chip stack , playing confidently and running well . Good luck to all and I look forward to today's final

+1

My favourite to win it all is C Chatta, top player and a real gentleman though whoever wins it looks like being a great final.
2  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Feedback - Antes in 1 Day Comps? on: December 16, 2013, 12:14:46 AM
I think antes are good for building bigger pots and rewarding more aggressive players so I like them from that point.

However they actually mean you get less hands per level as it wastes time collecting them.

My suggestion: get the button to post everyones ante as it's faster. So each round of the table you will pay 1BB, 1SB and 1 lot of Antes for the whole table.

[Edit] my bad, just noticed T8MML suggested BB pays them.

Not much surprises me these days, but I have to say this has shocked the sh1t out of me. Ambitious/risky doesn't even begin to describe it.

I hope for DTD's sake this doesn't go pear shaped.
4  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Multi Prize Pool Poker comes to DTD in January on: December 21, 2012, 06:43:44 PM
This looks like a very clever idea. On the whole I really like the sound of it.

Will create some interesting dynamics/fun when a £25 player can "bully" a £100 player who is on the prize-pool 3 money bubble!

Could create some deliberate slow play (or 2 additional hand for hands) when pool 3 and 2 bubble.

Regards mixing £25 and £100 players in the same comp. Having more money doesn't always mean you have more sense or ability and often the best player at the table is the first to bust out.

I'd appreciate an update on Thomas French if possible. He started the day on table 3 s2 but may have been moved. Thanks.

Good timing as he emerges as the chipleader on 950k

Great stuff. Thanks for that.

btw, his brother Lee came 3rd for £16,160 at the GUKPT Cov last week so I know he's trying hard to beat that!

Enjoying the updates.

Wow, congrats on a great deal for Blonde.

I generally only come on here to follow the excellent live updates that Tighty and all the other updater's do, so it's a pity there will not be any from the GUKPT's in future (if I'm reading that right) but on the positive side there will be much more coverage of the DTD events. So that has to be good news.

Shame that your forum has to lose it's total independence/editorial freedom but with the running costs being what they are I understand. TBH I'd sell my granny for that sort of money.

Looking forward to watching this tomorrow, should be great entertainment.

(Excellent updates as always.)

Players still in were given VIP car park tickets to allow them to park in the casino car park. If u haven't got one you can still park at the ground for free but will have to go early and use a normal car park not the one right outside.
14  Poker Forums / Live Tournament Updates / Re: GUKPT Goliath Live stream on: August 27, 2011, 11:47:25 PM
Even though my exit was painful I would still say that without doubt this is the best tournament I've ever played in the UK.

Everything about it was 1st class and this is a must play event for next year.

Chip leader with average under 100,000 and a 400,000 stack is (and at this point he took my pad off me to write his name down himself. Never a good sign).....
