Hand from stars $11 Dbl Shootout to the Sunday million:

It's bubble time at the FT. Top 2 get $215 seats, 3rd $35

Tx is loose and has called raises from the CL PF then folded to any flop bet, as such he went down from c.2.5k to just 575. He's playing v.loose.

Last hand he doubled up through me when we got it all in on a Q-Q-2 board. I had Q-5 he held Q-4, turn was a 10 he hit a 4 on the river.

The CL has been raising a lot of pots as he's got the chips to bully.

Here's the hand (well part of it)

Table '29395754 1' 8-max Seat #6 is the button
Seat 5: cachito (9275 in chips)
Seat 6: TX Wiz (1150 in chips)
Seat 7: dino1980 (1575 in chips)
dino1980: posts small blind 75
cachito: posts big blind 150
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to dino1980 [ ]
TX Wiz: folds
dino1980?Huh??

Ok so it's me to act now and i've got a premium hand esp 3-handed. What's our plan? We have TX (who's playing loose) out chipped. So do we need to put all or any of our chips at risk when Cachito has the chips to call us with a wide range of hands?

So what's your move? And why?

Allin. I don't really mind if he calls and if he folds i get a few chips and increase my lead over TX who has to post the BB next. I wouldn't want to take any more risk than i have to at this stage.

4x BB in for me...so 600...and no matter what the flop you bet it all in. (unless you flop the ridiculous nuts..IOW full house..or trips on rainbow flop) I would want to get paid with a hand like this so I@ll take the extra 450 of the BB

Here's what happened next...

Dealt to dino1980 [ ]
TX Wiz: folds
dino1980: calls 75
cachito: raises 1500 to 1650
dino1980?Huh?

what now?

Well if you've limped, you limped to trap. He's going to show AK isn't he? Roll Eyes

Now you have to fold, limping was a huge error, calling now would be a bigger one.

You should have pushed already, but passing would not have been a bad play.

You have to get your chips in first in these things, Tx seems capable of knockng himself out.

Here's what i did...

 ?

dino1980: calls 1425 and is all-in
*** FLOP *** [ ]
*** TURN *** [ ] []
*** RIVER *** [ ] []
*** SHOW DOWN ***
dino1980: shows [ ] (high card Ace)
cachito: shows [ Ah] (high card Ace - lower kicker)
dino1980 collected 3150 from pot

As soon as i got dealt A-Q, i actually wanted to get all the money in the middle as there was only 400 chips between myself and the other shorty. And I wanted to take the tourney into my own hands, which a double up would achieve.
Hence, i limped in from the button, to trap so I called the raise.
Like i said, still not sure i played it right and would definitely consider folding to the raise if it played out again.
Oh and i did get a seat, although i unregistered to get the $T

What would you do if he checked behind you preflop and then reraised you on that flop. I think you would fold leaving you with a similar number of chips to TX and that is why i don't like your play here.

I'm first to act post flop and i'm shoving if he checks behind me pre-flop.

Horrible play IMO. You have to remember this is a satellite your playing and not a SnG therefore you dont need to win all the chips on the table! You either push preflop from the SB or fold.

I think the idea is to survive here rather than get your chips in against someone with a hand as vulnerable as A-Q.

Personally, I would have pushed in the first place and settle for the blinds.
