The insert image is for use when you have the URL of the picture (when not stored locally) simply add the url inbetween the brackets.

The image needs to be hosted on the web somewhere, get the url of it

the url can be obtained in the bar at the top of the browser, for instance this page is http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?action=post;topic=19450.0;num_replies=0

Highlight it, press Ctrl and c at the same time (this copies the text)

Press you insert image thing so this comes up

Put the cursor in between those two brackets (it may be there automatically) and press Ctrl and v at the same time. (this pastes the url you just copied)

Note, if I link to this page

http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.templarpublishing.co.uk/novelty/covers/Hey-presto.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.templarpublishing.co.uk/novelty/glitter_pops.html&h=150&w=150&sz=7&hl=en&start=2&tbnid=RCp_StvttYhWBM:&tbnh=96&tbnw=96&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dhey%2Bpresto%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26channel%3Ds%26rls%3Dcom.dell:en-UK:plt%26sa%3DG

it will not work

You need a url of a page that is just a picture.

Exactly that Smiley If you only want the URL of the pic you can right click on it and 'open in a new window' or something similar. The url can then be copied fron the address bar at the top.

This will not work with all pictures on the internet. Something about bandwith, but I'm blagging if I think I know what I'm talking about there.

Yes, some sites do not like you 'hot linking'. The image URL you copy is not always the picture you want (sometimes they can be very crude/rude) So always double check that the pic you posted is the one you wanted!

Happy to help Smiley
