The 3008 is new and has more inputs HDMI etc. The 3007 only has a DVI input - fine if you only connect your PC.

Not really, I bought mine 9 months ago (off ebay) for less. There aren't any on dell's website ATM, a lot of the time they have promotions on them and can be had for £900 direct from dell, which put the prices down everywhere else. Wait a month if your not desperate for it and check prices again, otherwise http://www.pcbuyit.co.uk/product2.asp?sku=211&deptId=6 is a little cheaper. Also there is a 2nd hand one on ebay, which I'd personally go for.

Well i don't use a desk, that is the problem!!

No-one got a large res monitor then?

I have the 30" dell 3007WFP-HC. 2560x1600. Biggest resolution you can get ATM. You will need a desktop PC to run at that resolution and the graphics card needs to be dual link compatible - the new ones / reasonably expensive ones of a year ago all are.

You get 6 800x600 tables on it with no overlap. If you wanted to use it in portrait, you would get 8 tables.

For the best value, 2 widescreen monitors in portrait get you the best / cheapest screen real estate.

OK so i bought it and obv only have a Radeon X300, help me get my max res!!!

I assume you'll need a new card - I wouldn't have thought a driver upgrade could 'unlock' higher resolutions.
