The blinds are like 20 mins so prob not even one orbit per level in live poker. I venture in a very short time a hand like 9-9 will be auto fist pump jam. In a fast structure play the hand fast imo.

I don't know which 30 pound MTT's you've played but 3 bet calling 99 even sb vs cut off is not advisable unless you want to head home early

raise calling is terrible in a live donkament you can prob steal blind folded later on

+1 George. Raise/calling pre vs the avg guy in these comps is literally burning money.

Well not literally, but you get the gist.

Right I am struggling to figure from this the concensus but maybe this is where we start the "butcher"

So we check/raise to 7k* the thinking is A I am tilted by the 1/5th of pot raise and B we want to check where we are in the hand.  I am reluctant to call/call/call as a lot of scare cards out there and I want control of the hand on what is not that scary a flop! So BB folds and villain calls.

So we are 25k in the pot to the turn which is a   putting the flush out.  Assuming you have done what I have done, what we doing now? how bad is what I did?

*I hate my bet sizing on reflection, the low lead skewed my pot awareness slightly

Also Mantis is on my thread so I am happy regardless how bad i played lol

After the flop there is now 25k in the pot which isn't far off your remaining stack. And the flop action wasn't exactly hot. Calling pre means you will c/fold lots of broadway flops and semi decent flops will often see you going to the turn with a big pot out there and no clue what's going on. I think if you elect to play thru the streets this shallow you need to have a least some idea what range your oppos have. As played we have a green 9 so would prob just jam. You already pegged him as a novice so it's a big call for his 'tournament life'. Interested to hear what soul readers do tho.

What's the stack size of BB?
If he has well above ave he prob peels a 3b as he's a station pre, but what if he has say 25k?
