Looks like an information block bet for me. He probably has KQ and was drawing to a straight and overcards. Doesn't know if his K is good.

That said, I would not be certain enough of my read to raise him. If I raise then I probably only get action if I am beat, so although I don't give him Q9 its a flat call from me too. You already have significantly more chips than anyone on your table, you are not passing and this is a nice addition if you are right, but no point risking another 18k, that will see your ability to make some moves reduced.

The pot is plenty big enough imo.

I have him on something like JQ ... small bet again about 8000 .... don't lose him

However, you wouldnt have posted the hand unless he was holding AQ so I guess you checked and called when he bet about 8k

Dave; you honestly believe he stays that long on a gutshot and two overs?

Possibly if its AhQh and he is drawing to the flush too but I cant give him any other reason and I would have expected him to put pressure on the flop with a big draw like that.

Ah you have him on QJ. That is more likely I would agree, although I still don't think he bets teh river. It isn't enough to take it away and I don't see QJ making a block bet there.

I disagree about getting action, any 2 pair calls if i raise here, we have a little history and both respect each others play (although diffrent styles)

I Thought the only had he could have here that is beating me is Q9 but he could have a lot of other hands. KT was the most likely given his turn play ( i think he check raises now with top pair) KQ is another possible hand which i dont see him passing for 18k into a 50k+ pot.

I did raise him for his last chips and he insta called with Q9, i am still not sure what the correct play is here. I was left with 100k after the hand which was still more than double the average.
