[Feb 6 02:24:55] :

I havent got round to learning pot odds yet but im guessing pot odds are fold.

On that flop im thinking he has QT, tripped, K high or has flushed.

Any heart beats the flush, a Q beats his straight, an ace beats his K high...he might have trips though but who goes allin with trips on a one suit board!!...... drawing a better straight and flush I took the gamble.

Ive been studying this hand and have decided in the same situation I probably would have done the same.

So opinions much appreciated please. Keeping in mind it was a do or die hand that I could easily have walked away from.

imo if you think he has flop trips, or the strait you cannot call this hand, if u think he has the hand he got then u can

Id have probably called Suzanne. You were only a 48/52 underdog when the chips went in.

And you dont have a huge stack, and its an oppurtunity to get one. And you already have 300 in the pot.

People will say it looks like he had 2 pair and you should fold, but id probably still be greedy and gamble.

Marginal imo.

I'd call him for the above reasons maybe, but mostly coz I don't like pissing about with microstacks in an MTT.

If I can even see the droppings of some pot odds, I'll chuck my change in there and gaze on indifferently as to the result.

If he has any of the hands you think he has you cannot call for pot odds against that range. But then you have a teeny tiny stack so id gamble.

Its a marginal call imo.

Thanks guys.

I still think given the same situation I would have done the same. It was a gamble but as you say it was a good chance to get a decent stack.

Funnily enough I have just played a very similar hand only I had the K 10 and the guy hit...oh well.

There's nothing wrong with raising this preflop I think.

agreed with the 2 above posts. to be honest he's not limping with a smaller holding than A10 at this stage anyway so why not shove preflop if you're so desperate to double up.
i don't understand the weak bet on the flop. surely a check raise all-in is in order here? but you have to call still. you're drawing all over the place.

I would not raise preflop with A10...been caught out too many times with that 1.

I did consider going allin but thought a weak bet might have been seen as strong...when he went allin i knew he had a decent hand (expected better than what he had) and yes it was a total gamble.

That is why I am asking was it a bad move ?

Im thinking now it was.

He had KT, would he have called a raise?

If not, then you have been caught out here for not raising with A10.

but thought a weak bet might have been seen as strong.

You bet 80% of the pot......

I probably raise pre flop here, when i don't i am either check raising all in or leading for 4-500 depending on the player.
