irrespective of the speech being used, talkers will generally want a call - it stands to reason. They know theyve got it so are going to be a bit more relaxed. think about this

if you dont have it and give away a tell then worst possible outcome = busto, out of the tourney.

if you do have it and give away a tell then worst possible outcome = dont get a caller. still in tourney.

See if he holds it together whilst explaining. If he waffles, or is a little shaken up by your questioning, push. If he's coherent, fold.

what if he just shrugs his shoulders and says "dunno, i read it in a tightend post on blondepoker"?

Yeh the statement "I am a liar" is paradoxical.

It reminds me of the old riddle.

You are travelling to a town called blondeville.

You come to a fork in the road. One way leads to death and destruction. The other to blondeville.

Sat in front of the fork are two men. A sign above them reads,"One of these men is a liar, the other tells the truth."

You can only ask one question to one of the men. How do you find the way to blondeville?

(If you know the answer let someone else have a go)

Is this a riddle too? I think I've worked out the answer... But I'm not allowed to answer because I have to give someone else a go...

Is this right (in small yellow)

Sod it, don't know how to make it invisible. I'll post it again later

You are facing a tricky decision in a live tournament against an unknown opponent

Facing a big bet on the turn with a straight draw and flush draw but big implied odds and your opponent is talking to you. He seems from your limited appraisal to be accomplished at speech-play and he has tilted several opponents.

He says "I'd pass if I were you. By the way I am a congenital liar"

what are you making of this sentence?

he is bluffing....but he wants u to think he wants u to call..cos u are smart....thus u fold..mission accomplished

Push, he knows you're weak tight and is trying to bluff you.

The solution is.....

Ask one of them "If I asked your mate which way to blondeville, what would he say?" Then always go the opposite way
