I am interested in "technically" correct plays please, not so much the outcome of the hand which I win

in the BB in a PLO freezeout

blinds 300-600

full table of 9, 2 tables left 5 paid

in the bb with  two spades

three limpers, sb completes and I check my option

3000 in the pot

stack sizes me 16,000

others range 10-17000, largest being the EP limper. average in the comp is 11,000

flop

Question One

On a co-ordinated board I check bottom set OOP to re-assess when the action comes back to me. I intend to call one pot sized bet (multi way if necessary), but fold to heavy action.

Is this a strategy you would agree with multi way OOP on a drawy board?

As it happens the action is checked round

turn

Question 2

With the Nut flush draw, and a turn that isn't likely to have improved many hands, do you now lead, or continue to try to keep the pot small OOP?

I check, EP bets the pot, remainder fold and I call

9,000 in the pot

Question 3

By calling here, I do not have the odds to draw to the flush but implied odds to the nuts obviously. In practice do these implied odds work? am I likely to get paid if a spade comes? if I house up, do I have negative implied odds more often than not in a game of the nuts like PLO?

River

 three diamonds

Gives me a non nut house. I have the EP bettor on J 9/8 8/10 10,maybe an Overpair ...can't see much else that fits apart from a bluff (maybe betting an overpair here is a bluff?). He is an experienced dealers choice player, no mug

Question 4

Do you value bet? check-call?

I check intending to check call

He checks behind

I beat J9 (flopped straight)

OK fire away..interested in any comments at all stages of the hand..when to be aggressive, when to be cautious, how to maximise value etc etc

first ever Omaha tournament I have played, hence the steep learning curve!

1 - I like the check/call here it allows you to keep control of the pot size.  I probably take the same line myself your behind to a host of hands and its a very draw heavy board so it makes perfect sense to see the next card as cheaply as possible and check calling certainly allows you to do this especially for one pot sized bet, if there is more action and you fold your still in a fairly decent position overall.

2 - Again I check call we're now drawing to the nuts but there are still made hands that crush us just now so i'm happy to c/c and get another card relaively cheaply.

3 - I'll leave that to the maths experts, but what i would say is if the flush does come it looks unlikely that you would have been playing for that so I think you probably get paid if you bet the flush.  On the otherhand if you/when you house I think you may get less action because you have played the hand like you had a set on the flop/or straight draw.

4 - I lead the river, as stated in reply to question 3 the way the hand plays out your likely holding was a set by checking hoping to induce a bet from your opponent its unlikely that he bets the bare straight now.  The only think is you have your opponent on a range that still beats you so deciding to check certainly isn't the worse play.

I think in PLO tourneys the key factor is certainly pot control and you have played this well post flop.

I don't like it, will come back to it later to explain why check calling with bottom set is usually a bad idea!

thanks in advance

I sensed, ordinarily, that check calling on the co-ordinated flop would lead to trouble howver in the heat of battle I didn't want to pass, or raise. so sat on the fence.
