Fair comment also, just feel eto'o at his peak age i believe should still be playing at the very top level and look forward to seeing who he does sign 4.Hopefully not spurs

I'd love him at Liverpool but cant see it for the money it'd cost.

I hate our owners.

To many clubs being took over by freign owners who ain't really got a clue bout what it means to the fans was always going to be a disaster for 1 club at least unlucky for your lot its liverpool. If they're still there come start of next season liverpool will have 0% chance again of winning the league. You have like 3% chance if they buggar off (3% more than us i no lol).

I just think it's quite funny that ever since Roman took over at Chelsea all supporters expect new owners to spend 100mill a season. As Dave just pointed out they spent more than 50mill within the first year and that's a fortune by anyones' standards. It's a shame that the owners seems to argue all the time but it's definitely not a lack of investment that's stopping Liverpool from challenging for the league.

tbh im notsure what the problem is with the board. the fans dont like the owners. fine they pay there money they get an opinion.

3 players were signed all beating the club record from previous seasons.

who knows whats happening regarding the investment but things seem to be moving along regarding the stadium.

am i disapointed we went trophyless this season of course but we also did a lot of good and we are def in a better position than 12 months ago.

Anew RB is on board a new left back, maybe a RW and a striker and we are set.

sry for the hijacking of the chelsea thread

How much money have they had from players sold though ? cant really think of top of my head except sissoko for £11m(a think). My point was so much how much they spend but the fact they dont understand  the traditions of clubs liverpool have been an embarrasment this season with how there clubs being run and this has been 100% down to how they owners have conducted themselves.Sometimes it looks like clubs have spent loads of money on transfer fees but don't acknowledge whats gone as well i think we spent £25mil last summer but after transfer fees recvd we only spent something like £6million which is shit considering how much the club makes and how shit the team is.

Mancini would be interesting. Played for Leicester at the tail end of his career, lol. Great preparation for the Premiership

Never done anything in the Champions League.

I think Rijkaard would have been a better choice.

Erm, how much of that was from their money - and is the new stadium looking good?

I can't understand why there was such strong links with eto'o going to spurs its madness he's world class and one of the best in the world imo he would be a quality signing for anyone of the big 4.If liverpool had him and torres up front and they fit together they really would be title challengers(if rafa played them both that is Wink)

Because by all accounts he's a Spurs fan.

Not another one.Berbatov is a big newcastle fan used to sleep in newcastle top yet somehow i dont see him signing for the toon.

Slightly different scenario. Berbatov wants to win things. Wink

In all seriousness though, Ramos has one massive advantage over Keegan in the market when buying from Spain and to some extent the rest of Europe. He's very highly respected as a manager.

He has a few advantages, and I think that is further down the list than some others.
Having said that I don't think Keegan has the pull now that he did first time. First time he was signing people who grew up watching him play. This time I hope isn't signing people who wated him play!! I fear we'll have to start producing our own world class talent over the next ten years rather than buy too much of it.

Actually they've spent nothing. Not one penny. They've borrowed money against the club - something they swore they wouldn't do.

On top of this if you include income of:

Bellany 7.5
Cisse 8
Sissoko 8

In income you can see that we haven't even spent what the club made from the EPL TV money last year.

I dont expect our owners to spend 100 million per year. I'd be happy with no lies and no misleading the fans with their figures.
